days had passed since you had pushed jey out of your room telling him that you were fine
and in the span of those days, your feelings for him had grown in so many ways
now it was almost impossible for you to be near him without feeling like you were gonna burst, you wanted to tell him but you were so scared that he was gonna end up rejecting you.
"what is going on with you and jey?" jade said grabbing your attention as you looked up from your phone
"what do you mean what's going on with me and jey?, we're fine" you mumbled as you
avoided her gaze
"come on y/n. don't lie to me, I'm one of your best friends, i know you and i can see whatever is going on with you and him is worrying you" she spoke with concern evident in your voice and you sighed
"you really wanna know jade?" you snarled as you turned to look at her
"i got close to telling him that i liked him then I backed out" you mumbled and you felt her gaze piercing through your head
"why didn't you tell him?" she said softly and you sighed
"because I was scared, scared that he wasn't gonna feel the same, that i was gonna lose my best friend, that i was gonna mess things up, i love him and i am so scared that I'm gonna lose him" you said softly and you watched as her eyes softened
"girly. do you not realize that you just need to talk to him?" jade said as she looked at you and you sighed
"i love him." you muttered and you sighed
"then tell him" she said and you rolled your eyes
"it's not as easy as you think it is!" you snarled but what you hadn't known is he was standing outside the room you and jade were in listening to every word that you were saying
