you stood up shaking ur head in disbelief as the sound of the bell rung and the boos from the crowd as damian walked to the back with jd and finn following him
you were waiting in you and jeys shared locker room as jey wanted you to stay in the back for tonights title match and well, it didn't go the way that you guys wanted it to
you and jey have been dating for 3+ years, you knew him like the back of your hand and you could see it all over his face that he was going through all sorts of emotions

you were sitting on the couch in his locker room when he walked in and you could tell all your boy wanted was you
you looked up and you guys locked eyes and his just softened but not like a normal type of soften, like a soften he's gonna start crying
he walked over to you as he kneeled down on the floor resting his head on ur lap and within a few minutes, you just heard quiet sobs coming from him
"oh baby." you muttered softly as you ran your hands through his hair
"it's just not fair." he choked out as you could your pants getting wet from his tears
you were gonna try to comfort him but you could tell he also just needed to rant so you sat there quitely and listened to him
"it's like, I try so hard and it's never enough" he muttered as he lifted his head and locked eyes with you
your heart broke when you saw the state that he was in, his eyes were red, his body was tense and he looked like everything was just hurting him
you let a deep breath out as you scooted off the couch and opened ur arms and he gladly laid his head on your chest as he wrapped his arms around your waist
"baby can you just hear me out here?" you spoke softly and you felt him nod his head so you started to talk
"I know your hurting, I know your upset, I can see it, but baby you put up one hell of a fight" you said in a gentle tone as you looked down and traced his tribal tattoos on his shoulder blade
"I know you feel like you didn't do a good job and like you failed everyone but handsome if anything you shocked the world" you spoke before adding on
"I've never seen a crowd so happy to have someone enter as they were with you tonight josh im serious, you did what no one else usally can do, that crowd was so happy to see you" you spoke as you looked down and locked eyes with him and he smiled at you
"I love you, y'know that mama" he said as he leaned his head up and gave you a soft kiss
"I love you more baby."
