After the whole scary prophecy fiasco, Percy and Grover were elected to carry the Oracle back to the attic. Everyone else headed back to their cabins to try and get some good night's rest, but that would be nearly impossible because the universe hates demigods having a healthy 8 hours of sleep.

Devi, however, didn't head back to her cabin. She waited and hid behind a tree, watching Chiron trot back into his room inside The Big House. This was her only chance to ever find out about her prophecy without anyone stopping her. Percy and Grover picked up the Oracle and headed towards the Big House's attic to put her back when Devi rushed towards them.

"Hey!" She stopped right in front of them and plastered on a big, fake smile. "I love how you guys are helping the community and so dedicated you are to making this camp a better place, so I wanted to show my appreciation towards you guys by helping you carry the oracle back to the attic!"

"Thanks, Devi!" Grover quickly let go of the mummy, leaving Percy with his mouth wide open at his friend's actions. he couldn't believe he just left him like that.

Devi quickly caught the Oracle before anything could be broken. The two demigods saw Grover hurry back to the cabins. It looked like he was heading over to the small pillow and blanket in front of cabin eight.

"Why are you helping?" Percy asked.

"I just thought Grover needed a break after everything he's been through, you know? Plus, I'm hurt that you don't want me to help you." Devi feigned hurt.

He rolled his eyes

They walked in silence for a while.

"Watch her head!" Devi warned as they went up the stairs. But it was too late.

Bonk! Percy had already whacked the Oracle's mummified face against the trapdoor frame a dust flew.

"Ah, man." He set her down and checked for damage. "Did I break anything?"

"I can't tell. She looks dreary and creepy as always." Devi admitted.

They hauled her up and set her on her tripod stool, the two of them huffing and sweating. Who knew a mummy could weigh so much?

"Ok, let's go." Percy held open the trap door again, waiting for Devi to head out. He looked back up and saw her staring into the Oracle's eyes.

"Devi?" He called out again.

She ignored him and took in a deep breath. It was now or never.

"What's my prophecy?"

The moment the words were uttered from her mouth the room became cold and green mist poured out of the mummy's open mouth.

An image of Apollo holding Devi in his arms while she was crying and writhing in pain with her eyes closed had appeared in her head. It was right after she got rejected as a body. The Oracle's voice hissed:

In Delphi's shadow, a daughter seeks fate,

To be Oracle's vessel, but curses await.
