THE NIGHT OF the comet was a total disaster. lucianna didn't think she actually got to see the comet. it was so chaotic that damon insisted that he drove her and caroline home, which was weird, but it was better than driving in caroline's perspective and she totally meant it when she said she'd stay away from damon. as in for luci, she got straight home and fell asleep on the couch.
it was weird, really. nothing changed in her life yet everything felt different, like an invisible cloak coating her eyeline from anything she was yet to know. because it was obvious to luci that being a witch came with a price.
a very big price.
she woke up to her cell phone ringing loudly on her bedside.
luci quickly sat up with a scoff before picking up her phone and answering, forgetting to even check who was calling her.
"luci, hey." elena's voice rung through the speaker.
"oh, hi. good morning." to be honest, luci didn't expect elena of all people to call her. not that they never spoke, but the two rarely shared the same interests so they had no reason to willingly speak over the phone.
"sorry did i wake you up? i just wanted you to be the first person i invite to dinner with stefan and bonnie at my house." the brunette's voice was perky and happy, something she wasn't for a while. so naturally, luci was happy for her and didn't want to ruin her mood and agreed.
"oooh, dinner with the boyfriend and best friends already? you're efficient." luci ooed genuinely causing a laugh from elena on the other side.
"no it's just that, bonnie doesn't approve of stefan. she says that he gives her a 'bad' bad feeling and you're the one person who can easily ease the tension with your adorableness. so, 8 o'clock."
"okay bye bye."
luci frowned to herself slightly. she knew why bonnie had a 'bad' bad feeling because she had it too. stefan was most probably a vampire, luci was a witch and so was bonnie. and none of them knew.
luci had a feeling that almost certainly that dinner was going to be very quiet and her personality would not be able to come to the rescue.

"OH MY GOD! you're here." lucianna heard bonnie gasp out at the sight of elena at cheerleading practice.
