i was bored out my mind, lost my whole appetite

"I MEAN, KATHERINE looked just like you. it was freakish." bonnie said. she, luci, elena and caroline volunteered to help put together the fair their town held. the very town that they loved, the very town that lurked with the undead.

it was luci's idea, and she wanted it faultless. since caroline wasn't checked out of the hospital yet. but also, luci wanted a distraction. with all the turmoil, she couldn't properly get to grief the murder of grams and vicki.

luci and vicki weren't close, but it still hurt her blood filled heart. matt lost his only family member that actually cared for him. and as for grams...luci was tormented.

that woman helped her find her way. she helped her gain consciousness of her darkened nature, her curse. she helped her when she was lost. and now sheila bennett was dead. luci couldn't even give her a proper goodbye.

elena brushed off bonnie's worried tone and sighed. "she is my ancestor...i moved the student booths into the cafeteria." but bonnie couldn't take a hint.

"your vampire ancestor. and she didn't just resemble you...she was you."

"i don't know, okay? i can't explain it. it's creepy, that's all i got."

"how do you know she's still out there pretending to be you? or compelling someone we know to hurt any of us." bonnie stated, glancing towards luci. who was brutally stabbed by her own mother. the only blonde shrugged and commenced unwrapping prizes for the ring toss.

"i don't. but i could sit here and be tortured by the not knowing, or i could get these prizes to the ring toss." the gilbert sighed once more before taking the prizes from luci and moving onto the next booth.

"i'm gonna go see if they're decorating the hallway the proper way." luci spoke up, slipping away from the duo.

luci breathed deeply as she walked. all of these reminders about their unlit fate suffocated her. it was like that's all her life is now.

vampires, witches, deaths, katherines. vampires, witches, deaths, katherines.

the witch held some decorative fringe curtains tightly in her hands, her eyes glued firmly to the floor.

luci tried to ignore the uncoordinated balloons above her head. because if she saw them, she would want to get a ladder and redo them all. luci didn't even notice that she bumped into a back.
