Percy POV:
As we finally approached Dwarka, I couldn't help but feel like we'd walked into the set of a Bollywood epic. The city was breathtaking, with ancient temples rising against the skyline, the smell of spices in the air, and the distant sound of chanting. It was both awe-inspiring and slightly terrifying.
"Whoa," Leo said, voicing what we were all thinking. "This place makes Olympus look like a DIY project."
Jason smirked. "Don't let the gods hear you say that."
"Oops, too late," Leo replied with a grin, throwing his hands up in mock surrender.
Chai POV:
I was amazed, too. Dwarka was the city of legends, and seeing it up close was surreal. But I had to remind myself we were here for a reason. Kiwi and Melon were still out there, and Piper's betrayal had rattled us. "Stay focused, everyone," I said, trying to keep the mood serious. "We're not on a sightseeing tour."
Frank nodded, but then promptly tripped over a loose cobblestone and almost took Hazel down with him. "Yep, totally focused," he muttered, cheeks flushed.
"Nice save, big guy," Thalia said with a smirk, pulling him back up.
Sun POV:
As we entered the heart of the city, I couldn't help but feel a bit out of place. This was the land of gods and legends, and here I was with my friends, looking like we'd just survived a tornado. But seeing the temples of Dwarka, I also felt a surge of pride and determination. "This is it, guys. The endgame."
"Endgame?" Grover piped up. "Please tell me we're not splitting into teams and doing a time heist. I barely passed basic arithmetic!"
Nico POV:
Will and I walked side by side, and I could feel the tension in the air. Dwarka was beautiful, but it was also buzzing with a kind of energy that made my underworld senses tingle. "Feels like the calm before the storm," I muttered.
Will smiled at me, squeezing my hand. "Yeah, but at least we're in this together. Plus, I'm pretty sure we can take down whatever they throw at us. After all, we've got the Ghost King and the Sun Boy on our side."
I couldn't help but laugh. "Sun Boy?"
Will shrugged. "It's catchy. Plus, it sounds like a superhero."
Percy POV:
We finally reached the central temple, and it was more stunning than I could have imagined. Golden pillars, intricate carvings, and a giant statue of Krishna himself. But no time for admiration—Kiwi and Melon were waiting.
"Alright," I said, trying to sound more confident than I felt. "Let's do this."
"Yeah, let's go!" Leo chimed in, only to promptly stub his toe on a stone statue. "Ow! Who put that there?"
Jason sighed, rolling his eyes affectionately. "Just stick close, okay?"
Chai POV:
As we entered the temple, the air became thick with tension. It was eerily quiet, the kind of silence that makes your skin crawl. I could tell the others felt it too. We were about to face whatever Kiwi and Melon had planned, and we had to be ready for anything.
And then we heard it—a slow, mocking clap. Kiwi and Melon stepped out from the shadows, looking annoyingly smug.
"Finally made it," Kiwi said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Took you long enough."
