Sun POV:

The rain came down in sheets as we sprinted through the forest, our feet slipping on the slick mud beneath us. The storm was getting worse, lightning flashing overhead and the thunder so loud it felt like the sky was ripping itself apart.

"Keep moving!" I shouted, pushing through the wind that threatened to knock us over. We were running on pure adrenaline, but I knew it wouldn't last. Kiwi and Melon were right behind us, and they weren't giving up without a fight.

Sparkle was running beside me, her veena-sword clutched in one hand, while Moon brought up the rear, keeping an eye on our pursuers. Strawberry, despite being exhausted from her capture, was keeping pace, her face set with determination.

"We're not going to make it much longer like this," Sparkle yelled over the roar of the storm. "They're too close!"

"We just need to get to the clearing," I said, my mind racing. "We can make a stand there."

We burst through the trees, stumbling into a wide clearing surrounded by jagged rocks and trees bent low from the force of the wind. The storm raged above us, and I could feel the electricity in the air, crackling with power.

Moon skidded to a stop beside us, her bow at the ready. "They're right behind us."

I turned, my heart pounding. Sure enough, Kiwi and Melon emerged from the forest, their faces set with grim determination. The wind whipped around them, swirling debris and leaves in their wake.

"We're not done yet, Sun," Kiwi said, her voice carrying over the wind. "You can't outrun us forever."

Sparkle POV:

Kiwi's smug face in the middle of this apocalyptic storm was enough to make me wish my voice powers worked better in the rain. But no one was falling asleep in the middle of a chase for their lives.

Melon, as usual, looked unbothered by the chaos around her. "You should've known you wouldn't get away that easily," she said, almost bored.

I tightened my grip on my sword. "We'll see about that."

Kiwi grinned. "Oh, come on, Sparkle. You can't seriously think you're going to win. Not with her backing us."

By "her," Kiwi obviously meant Hiranyakashipu, their not-so-friendly demon boss who wasn't going to let them quit until they had the Sudarshana Chakra.

But Sun had Durga's power, and we weren't about to let these two stop us now.

"Stand down, Kiwi," Sun said, stepping forward, her voice calm despite the storm. "This doesn't have to end in a fight."

Kiwi rolled her eyes. "Don't pretend you're giving us a choice."

Moon POV:

Of course, they weren't going to back down. Kiwi and Melon lived for this kind of chaos. Melon was practically glowing with excitement at the prospect of a fight, and Kiwi was clearly itching to settle things once and for all.

"Well, if we're doing this," I said, notching an arrow, "let's get it over with."

Sun's fire flared to life around her, casting a warm glow against the cold rain. "You're right, Moon. We finish this now."

Kiwi POV:

I grinned as Sun's fire burst into the stormy air. I knew she was powerful—probably the most powerful demigod I'd ever gone up against. But power wasn't everything. Melon and I had the storm on our side, and Sun's little flames weren't going to be enough to stop us.

"Come on, Sun," I taunted. "Let's see what Durga's vessel can do."

I shot forward, the wind whipping around me as I lunged at her with my dagger. Sun was ready for me, blocking with a wall of flame that singed the edge of my jacket. I gritted my teeth and twisted out of the way, avoiding the worst of the heat.

But this was just the beginning.

Sun POV:

Kiwi moved fast, faster than I'd anticipated. I barely managed to dodge her attacks as her blade flashed in the storm, cutting through the air with deadly precision. I had to keep my focus. One wrong move, and she'd take me down.

But Kiwi wasn't my only problem. Melon was still in the background, controlling the storm like it was a part of her. Every gust of wind, every crack of thunder—it was all her doing.

"We need to split them up," I shouted to Sparkle and Moon. "I'll take Kiwi. You two handle Melon!"

Without waiting for a response, I lunged at Kiwi, my fire flaring around me as I pressed the attack. She was quick, dodging and weaving through the flames, but I wasn't backing down.

"You can't win this, Kiwi!" I shouted, swinging my hand in a wide arc, sending a wall of fire surging toward her.

She smirked, darting to the side just in time. "We'll see about that."

Melon POV:

While Kiwi kept Sun busy, I focused on what I did best—controlling the storm. The wind was mine to command, and I wasn't going to let Sparkle and Moon stop me from finishing this fight.

"You two are out of your league," I said, raising my hand as another gust of wind surged toward them.

Moon fired an arrow through the storm, but it got caught in the wind and veered off course, disappearing into the trees. Sparkle, however, wasn't so easily deterred.

"I think you're underestimating us," she said, her voice carrying over the storm. She raised her veena, and the sound that followed was unlike anything I'd ever heard—soft, calming, but powerful. For a moment, the storm hesitated, the wind faltering as if it wasn't sure whether to continue.

I narrowed my eyes. "That's not going to work on me."

"We'll see," Sparkle said, her voice steady.

Moon POV:

The storm was fighting back harder than we expected, but Sparkle's calming music was buying us a little time. I wasn't going to let Melon take control of this situation.

"Keep her distracted!" I shouted to Sparkle as I nocked another arrow, this time aiming for one of the nearby trees. If I could knock it down, maybe I could disrupt the wind patterns she was using.

The arrow flew true, and the tree groaned as it started to topple over. Melon's focus wavered, just for a second, but it was enough. The wind lost some of its intensity, and I saw my chance.

I fired again, this time aiming straight for Melon's position. The arrow didn't miss.

Kiwi POV:

From the corner of my eye, I saw Melon stumble as Moon's arrow struck. The wind faltered, and for a brief moment, I lost my balance. Sun took advantage of the opening, her fire surging forward in a wave of heat that I barely managed to avoid.

I gritted my teeth, my heart racing. "You're stronger than I thought," I admitted, circling Sun with my dagger ready. "But strength won't be enough."

Sun didn't respond. She just raised her hand, flames flickering in her palm. "Let's finish this."
