Sun POV:

The fire was everywhere—roaring, twisting, and snapping at our heels as we moved deeper into the heart of the cave. The trial of fire was supposed to be a test, but it felt more like a furnace of doom. The air around us crackled with energy, and every step felt heavier than the last.

"Why does this feel like a bad idea?" Moon muttered, her eyes scanning the walls, which seemed to glow with molten heat.

"Because it is a bad idea," Sparkle replied, wiping sweat from her brow. "But since when have we ever had good ideas?"

I kept moving, knowing that this wasn't just any trial. There was something more to it. Something ancient and divine. I could feel the power of the fire responding to me, but this wasn't just about controlling the flames. This was something much bigger.

As we reached a wider chamber, I could hear faint voices echoing through the flames—familiar, ancient voices. And then, cutting through the heat, I heard the unmistakable lines of Mahalaya:

"Ya Devi Sarva Bhuteshu,
Shakti Rupena Samsthita,
Namastasyai, Namastasyai, Namastasyai,
Namo Namah."

The flames seemed to shudder in response, as if even they were bowing to the presence of the Devi. My heart raced, not from fear, but from the weight of what was coming. I could feel it, like an energy building inside me, awakening.

Kiwi and Melon were close. I could feel their presence up ahead—waiting for us, challenging us. We had to beat them to the trial's end, and we had to claim the Sudarshana Chakra before they did.

"We're almost there," I said, my voice steady. "Get ready."

Kiwi POV:

We stood at the other end of the chamber, watching as Sun and her little team of heroes pushed forward through the flames. Melon was beside me, her expression calm and calculating as usual.

"They're getting close," I muttered. "But they won't win this."

Melon gave a small, sinister smile. "Not if we reach the Chakra first."

Hiranyakashipu had made it clear—get the Sudarshana Chakra, and we'd have the power to tip the balance. The trial of fire was the key, and right now, the prize was just out of reach.

Sun POV:

The temperature in the cave spiked again as we finally reached the core of the trial—a massive platform suspended over a chasm of roaring fire. In the center, hovering above the flames, was part of the Sudarshana Chakra—glowing with divine light.

But of course, Kiwi and Melon were already there, standing between us and the prize.

"Well, look who finally showed up," Kiwi sneered, her voice carrying over the roar of the flames. "Just in time to lose."

"We're not losing today," I shot back, feeling the power of the fire swirling around me.

Melon stepped forward, her eyes narrowing. "That's where you're wrong, Sun. This is our trial. And you're not walking away with the Sudarshana Chakra."

"Ya Devi Sarva Bhuteshu,
Tejas Rupena Samsthita,
Namastasyai, Namastasyai, Namastasyai,
Namo Namah."

The words echoed in my mind, and I felt a surge of energy flow through me, stronger than ever before. This wasn't just about us. This was the power of the Devi herself, guiding me, empowering me.

Sparkle POV:

I watched in awe as the air around Sun seemed to shimmer with divine energy. This wasn't just fire she was controlling—this was something much bigger. Much more dangerous.

"Oh boy," I whispered to Moon. "This is going to be intense."

"Yeah," Moon muttered, her bow ready. "Let's hope the Devi is on our side."

Kiwi and Melon didn't seem fazed. Melon raised her hand, summoning a wall of water to douse the flames in front of her. But the fire didn't die down—it roared even higher, fueled by something far stronger than normal.

"Trying to put out the fire?" I asked, smirking. "Good luck with that."

Moon POV:

This wasn't just a battle. This was a test. And I could tell that Sun was going to be at the center of it. I watched as she stepped forward, her eyes locked on Kiwi and Melon.

"Give up now," Sun said, her voice steady but filled with the power of the fire itself. "You can't win."

Melon laughed, summoning another wave of water. "We'll see about that."

As the water surged toward Sun, I saw something incredible happen. The flames around her didn't retreat—they surged forward, meeting the water head-on. And instead of extinguishing each other, they merged in a violent, swirling storm of steam and fire.

Sun POV:

The moment the fire and water collided, I felt the full weight of Durga's power awaken within me. This wasn't just my fight anymore—this was the Devi's fight. I could hear her voice, ancient and powerful, guiding my movements.

"Ya Devi Sarva Bhuteshu,
Agnirupena Samsthita,
Namastasyai, Namastasyai, Namastasyai,
Namo Namah."

I raised my hand, and the flames obeyed, swirling around me in a vortex of heat and light. Kiwi and Melon watched in disbelief as the fire became an extension of me—part of me. This was the power of the Devi, and I wasn't going to waste it.

"You can't stop this," I said, my voice echoing with the power of Durga. "The Devi has awakened."

Kiwi POV:

For the first time, I felt a flicker of doubt. Sun wasn't just some demigod anymore—she was channeling the power of Durga herself. The fire around her was alive, moving with her every command.

"We need to get the Chakra," Melon muttered, her calm demeanor faltering for the first time. "Now."

We charged forward, but the fire blocked our path, growing hotter with every step. Sun was unstoppable.

Sun POV:

The flames parted, revealing the Sudarshana Chakra, glowing with divine energy. This was it—the prize we had fought so hard for.

I stepped forward, reaching out to claim it, but just as my hand closed around the glowing disc, I felt the presence of the Devi begin to fade.

"Ya Devi Sarva Bhuteshu,
Dhairya Rupena Samsthita,
Namastasyai, Namastasyai, Namastasyai,
Namo Namah."

The power of Durga was leaving me, slowly fading back into the ether. This wasn't a fight I could win with her power alone. But I had the Chakra now—part of it, at least. And that was enough.

I turned to face Kiwi and Melon, the flames still swirling around me. "It's over," I said, holding up the glowing disc. "We've won."

Kiwi clenched her fists, her eyes burning with fury. "This isn't over, Sun. Not by a long shot."

I smiled, feeling the weight of the Sudarshana Chakra in my hand. "We'll see about that."

Kiwi and Melon dissipated with a blinding light. A symbol glowed above, the unmistakable sign of HiranyaKashipu.

"Well," I said, trying to break the tension with a grin, "at least now we have the literal goddess of war on our side. That's gotta help."

Sun chuckled, the fire in her eyes dimming slightly. "Let's hope so."

Sparkle crossed her arms, smirking. "So, does this mean you're officially the most powerful demigod now?"

"I guess," Sun replied, but there was a sense of humility in her voice. "But power isn't the answer to everything."

"Maybe not," I said, raising an eyebrow. "But it sure doesn't hurt."

We all shared a laugh, despite the heaviness of the moment. Somehow, we knew that this trial had been more than just a test. It was a transformation—a beginning

The Devi was awake.
