TRIAL OF WIND WHICH WAS QUITE WEIRD

Percy POV:

Okay, so I'm usually more of a water guy. You know, Poseidon's kid and all. But here we were, heading into the trial of wind, and the air around us was swirling like we'd walked into the world's most aggressive wind tunnel. This wasn't the soothing breeze you'd want on a beach. No, this wind was like an angry pack of harpies, determined to tear us apart.

"Not loving this," I muttered, gripping Riptide tightly. The ground beneath our feet was rocky, and the wind was so strong that it felt like it was pushing us toward some unseen doom. "Can't we get a trial of water for once?"

Reyna smirked at me. "Yeah, but then it'd be too easy for you, Jackson."

Annabeth was beside me, her face set in that determined look she always gets when there's a puzzle to solve. "Focus, Seaweed Brain. This trial isn't just about brute force."

"Great," I mumbled. "Brute force is kinda my thing."

Thalia POV:

The wind howled around us like it had a mind of its own. Actually, scratch that—it probably did have a mind of its own. The place we were in wasn't exactly the kind of forest you'd see on a nice hike. This was more like a storm zone, with trees bending at odd angles and leaves spiraling in midair, never quite hitting the ground. It was weird, and I've seen a lot of weird.

"Anyone else feel like we're walking into a giant blender?" I asked, drawing my spear, Aegis, as the wind picked up even more. "Because I'm starting to feel like someone's about to hit the 'high speed' button."

Percy rolled his eyes. "Just what we need—more air."

Reyna's grip on her sword tightened as she scanned the area, her expression serious. "This wind is unnatural. It's not just a trial—it's alive. Be ready for anything."

Annabeth POV:

I had my knife in hand, but I knew this wasn't going to be a fight we could win with weapons alone. The wind was getting stronger with every step we took, and the air itself seemed charged with something—like there was an unseen force controlling it.

"This trial isn't just about strength," I said, half to myself and half to the others. "We're going to need to figure out how to outsmart the wind."

Percy raised an eyebrow. "Outsmart the wind? How do we even do that?"

"We'll figure it out," Thalia said, tossing a stray piece of hair out of her face. "Preferably before we get blown off a cliff."

Suddenly, the ground shifted beneath us, and a massive gust of wind slammed into us from the side, nearly knocking me off my feet. Percy grabbed my arm to steady me, but the wind didn't let up—it was getting stronger, pushing us backward.

"I think the wind just started fighting back," Reyna growled, planting her feet and digging her sword into the ground to stop from getting blown away.

Reyna POV:

The wind was relentless. Every gust seemed more powerful than the last, and it was taking everything we had just to stay on our feet. I'd been in plenty of battles, but fighting the wind? This was a first.

"We can't just stand here!" I shouted over the roar of the storm. "We need to move!"

"Easier said than done!" Percy called back, shielding his face with his arm. "This wind is like a wall!"

Thalia shot me a determined look. "I'll try to break through it."

Before I could respond, she raised Aegis, her spear crackling with lightning, and aimed it at the swirling air ahead of us. With a sharp thrust, she sent a bolt of electricity flying into the windstorm.
