It was now the following Saturday that the two friends had proposed to meet. Tom and Maddie were busy getting ready to head off to Hawaii while Sonic was also getting ready to meet his friend. He quickly asked Tom if he had any hairspray and cologne to freshen himself up with.
"Tom, I gotta borrow your hairspray and cologne."
"What exactly would you need those things for?"
"Oh and I'm gonna need to borrow your sunglasses and a tie as well."
But before he could do anything else, Tom quickly stopped him.
"Settle down pal, you don't need all this stuff. You're good just the way you are."
"Well you guys always get dressed up for your occasions so why can't I?"
Maddie then took notice of a girl parking her bike alongside the house. Leah had just reached the house hoping that this was the right place. She was incredibly nervous and kept fixing her hair to make sure it looked decent.
"Is that your friend out there Sonic?" she had asked him.
"Oh my gosh! She's here!"
He tried smoothing down his fur to make sure there was none sticking up.
Leah then walked up to the door and clicked on the doorbell. She took a deep breath and stayed calm and relaxed.
Maddie quickly rushed to open the door for her.
"Oh hi, you must be Sonic's friend."
The young girl smiled back at her.
"Yes, hello I'm Leah."
"Well it's nice to meet you. Sonic should be ready in about a minute-"
Sonic then quickly dashed his way over to the door just as Maddie was about to finish her sentence. He wore a pair of shades and donned a black tie on him.
"Oh well here he is now."
"Welcome to Casa de Wachowski milady. You may enter."
Leah couldn't help but giggle as to how Sonic was dressed. She wasn't expecting him to act so sophisticated either.
Ozzie came over to greet her as well. Tom came over just in time and tried to calm the retriever down.
"Ok, ok, down boy" He then turned over to look at the girl, "Sorry he gets really excited when he sees new people."
"Aww it's ok. I love animals actually" she said as she tried to pet his head.
After introducing herself to both of them, Tom made clear that he and Maddie were going to head off to Hawaii soon for their relative's wedding and that Sonic was going to have to be in charge of the house for the weekend.
The two teens both promised that nothing would happen to the house while they were away.
As both Tom and Maddie head to the other room to collect their luggage, Sonic then pulls out one of his rings to show to Leah.
"Hey you wanna see something cool?"
He then took a step back and threw the ring in front of him, opening up a portal to Hawaii.
Leah was really amazed to see this.
"Wow! You can just do that?"
"Of course. I've had these rings with me since I was a child. Anyone can use them actually. They just need to be handled with good care."
By the time Tom and Maddie made their way back to the living room they now see that Sonic has the portal opened and he now has a clipboard in one hand and a spatula in the other. He took the role of a flight attendant. Ozzie was there with a pair of shades as well.
