Sonic The Hedgehog 2 : The Quest for The Emerald

Longclaw's Message

Both Leah and Tails had followed along with Sonic to which they then reached a house nearby. The house had belonged to Tom's deputy cop partner, Wade Whipple. Inside, it appeared that he was attempting to fix a bike in his garage.

The three friends were hidden in nearby bushes and watched as he continued to fix the bike, only to lead to constant failure as all the pieces kept falling off.

Tails was unsure whether they should trust this guy, but Sonic let him know not to underestimate him. Although he had second thoughts of overestimating as he saw him continue to fail at fixing his bike.

As the three stayed hidden, Sonic is the first to come out and then approaches Wade.

"Hey Wade, you doing alright over there?"

Wade then turned over to look at him, not expecting to see him here.

"Hey yeah, you know I'm uh...fixin' up the ol' bikearooney...yeah, I thought maybe I'd get it back in shape...shed a few L-B's, you know, plus someone did steal a police car, so..."

Sonic had figured who that someone could have been. Nonetheless, he was now ready to introduce the rest of them to him.

"Ok well I have a few people over that I want you to meet."

Leah then comes out next and then gives him a wave.

"This is Leah. I met her around here the other day."

"Nice to meet you," Wade responds back.

"And now this little guy isn't from around here. Tails?"

Before Tails had come out, he briefly scanned Wade using his Miles Electric. He then emerged from behind the wall.

"Is your headquarters secured?" he asked Wade.

"This place?" Yeah, super secure! No one comes in or out. Well except for my mom, but what she'll do is make up a cool snack plate."

Now that the three of them were now in the garage, Wade decided to give them all a warm welcome.

"Welcome to the Wade cave! Which is something I would say to a woman. A woman who's not my mom."

The three gave him a look and had no idea what to say about that.

Sonic then starts speaking up on their matter.

"Wade, focus! We need to figure out why Knuckles thinks I'm the key to finding the Master Emerald, and why did he mention Longclaw?"

"There must be a connection," Tails had suggested.

"Wait a minute, there is. Look!" Sonic exclaims as he looks over at his map.

"There's an Emerald symbol on the map Longclaw gave me. I never knew what it meant before."

"Something's happening!" Tails points out.

The map then starts glowing a bright green color in Sonic's hands. He immediately jumps at the sight of it and the map slowly falls to the ground, emitting green smoke around.

After the smoke has cleared off, a large hologram of Longclaw appears.

"Longclaw?" Sonic asks himself quietly as he looks up to see the image of his guardian.

The hologram then starts speaking out to them.

"Hello Sonic. If you're watching this, then something has happened to me, and I pray that you've made it to Earth unharmed. This world has been chosen for a very important reason. It's the secret location of the Master Emerald."

She then reveals an image of the Master Emerald. All of them are in awe looking at it.

"The emerald has the power to turn thoughts into reality."
