The Doctor Strikes Back

After a few minutes had passed, Sonic came back to the living room with two bowls of popcorn.

"Alright, movie night with three besties!"

He then started playing the movie which had shown the previews first. But before the movie even started, the power then immediately turned off and the entire house was full of darkness.

"Yay! A blackout! Time for some spooky stories!" he shouted with glee.

Leah, on the other hand, wasn't too enthusiastic about this.

The TV suddenly went into static mode and this surprised the two of them.

"Sonic, what is going on here?" she had asked worriedly.

"I have no idea. This isn't a prank or anything, trust me."

He then walked away from the couch and started inspecting the place.

"Excuse me! We did not order a poltergeist."

He then made his way close to the door, with Leah following right behind him.

"Um, if this is the pizza guy then this is really unprofessional."

As Sonic got close to the door, he reached his hand slowly towards the doorknob.

Suddenly, sparks started emitting rapidly through the hole, leading to the entire door falling over.

On the other side standing there was Robotnik.

"Eggman!" the hedgehog exclaimed.

"Wait, you know this guy?" she asked.

"Unfortunately yes..."

"Hello hedgehog. Did you miss me?"

He then gestured his hand over at Leah.

"Oh and I see you have some company with you here as well. How nice."

She backed away slowly behind Sonic, who now had a look of frustration on his face.

"I don't know how you got back but you made a big mistake coming here."

"Oh contraire mon frère," Robotnik spoke back, "The mistake was thinking that you've won. But that was just a prelude, an d'oeuvre, an aperitif, an Amuse-bouche..."

"I get it!" Sonic said as he gritted his teeth in frustration.

"Oh I don't think you do. But you're about to. And so will your friend, and that idiot sheriff and his wife. And your little dog too!"

The hedgehog had enough of his talking and immediately charged at him with an electric fist.

The doctor however immediately pulled over to reveal someone behind him. A red echidna who also shared the same electric energy as Sonic.

Sonic's eyes widened as he wasn't expecting the echidna coming toward him with a fist full of energy as well.

Just one punch from him was able to throw Sonic across the room, knocking him straight through the wall and TV in the living room. The hedgehog now laid defenseless on the living room couch, struggling to get back up.

The echidna looked straight back at him through the broken wall and muttered an insult at him. "Pitiful."

Sonic got up slightly and was confused.

"Huh, who are you?"

"Sonic are you alright?!"

Leah said as she ran into the living room, making sure he was ok.

"Where are my manners?" Robotnik said as he looked through the hole in the wall. He then walked into the room and was ready to introduce his new partner to his enemy.
