Meant To Be ( A Chase x Skye Story)

The Lookout

It was the next morning after everything that happened with Ryder. I believe it would be a great chance to see what this lookout is. I think it would be for the best. Anyway let's do the usual. "Skye wake up!" "Oh good morning Chase! What's the rush?" "Oh nothing i just wanted to ask you something." "Is it about that boy? Sorry i don't remember his name." "Yeah it's for Ryder. I think it would be a good idea to see what this lookout is. I mean it can't be bad. We saw how he was and how he treated us. Right?" "Right i believe so too. Want to head there in the evening?" "No problem Skye whatever makes you comfortable!"

And so evening came. It was my first time crossing the bridge of Adventure Bay. "It is huge!" "Careful big head i don't want you to fall into the water!" "Don't worry Skye after all we are almost near..." I couldn't believe on what i was seeing. It was a huge building with a garage, a lot of space and many more! "Wow that's amazing! Isn't that right Skye!" "I have to agree with you Chase. It is pretty impressive. And to think Ryder is doing it on his own makes it even more impressive!" We headed to the inside of the lookout. A door that opened on it's own and the first things we saw were an elevator many been bags and a huge television. "This place is great!" we both said simultaneously. "Chase, Skye you really came! I am so glad to see you here!" "Hello Ryder!" "Hey Ryder!" we both said. I approached him "Ryder this place is amazing! How did you do all this on your own?" "Well my parents left all their fortunes on me and as they were the founders of the shelter i inherit all this too. So i try my best to make something new." "Good job Ryder!" "Thanks pup! Here have some treats and water. You must be exhausted walking from the beach to here." as he said that we started treating ourselves up. He really seems to care.
"Hey Ryder do you want some help?" "Actually Skye yes i would really appreciate it!" "I can help too!" "Thanks Chase! Well i would like you to paint the walls behind you and someone can clean the yard if it is possible!" "All right Ryder!" "We are on it!" I took the paint and Chase took the hose. "Actually we can do something else." Chase said "Skye go fetch the paint and i will find a ladder somewhere for you. I will throw you the brush for you to paint the top part of the wall." "Good idea Chase! With that the job will be done faster!" I said to him. He really is smart. And so we did. He did the bottom part and i did the top part. "Wow pups you work really well together! And Skye aren't you afraid of being so high up?" "Nope not at all Ryder! I love heights as much as I love the sky!" "And you Chase you organised the jobs and everything perfectly! The painting of the wall was executed perfectly!" "Oh Ryder you flatter me. But the job is not done yet! We have a yard to clean! Let's go Skye!" "I am coming Chase!"
I took the hose and starting cleaning the parts were Skye was pointing at. We also took the leaves out and put things up were they should be as Ryder told us. Everything went as planned. "Good job pups you deserve some rest!" Ryder said as me and Skye laid on the bean bags inside. Me on a blue one and Skye on a pink one. "Hey now we know what is our favourite colours haha!" "Haha true!" we laughed with eachother. Everything was just great.
"Hey pups, can i ask you something?" "Of course Ryder anything. We would be glad to hear you." "Well. I know i don't know you for a lot but you too have really made me so happy and because i don't want to separate you two cause i know how important you are to eachother i would like to have the honour to adopt both of you and live here in the lookout." Ryder said with watery eyes. The pups were feeling the same thing. "Ryder after everything that has happened and everything me and Chase  have been through i believe that we would be glad to be your pups." Skye said as Chase noded his head. Ryder took a pink and a black collar for each. "Hug?" Ryder asked and so everyone had a group hug. Once everything was lost now everything is under control and everyone is happy.
Night fell. Skye and Chase were outside lying down in the grass. "Who would have thought that our lives would change that much? Meeting eachother living in the beach under a home made of sand to now live under a roof after our whole life we were in the streets." Chase said "It was all thanks for your confidence Chase. Now we have a new place to call home. And maybe many other things await us in the future." Skye said although a cold breeze stopped her. We went inside and fell to our bean bags putting them beside one another. Ryder brought us blankets and we fell asleep. "Goodnight pups." Goodnight Ryder." We said to him. "Goodnight Skye." "Goodnight Chase."
