Getting to know eachother

It was finally morning. I woke up early us usual but i saw me hugging Skye and she was muzzling all over my chest. I felt myself blushing and i pushed her a little off me not waking her up. I got outside and checked the area. I saw construction workers and firefighters dealing with the burned shelter. I think it will never be repaired. That is something Skye won't want to see. I thought maybe i could make here have some fun. After all she has to forget what happened. "I am her friend damnit i should do something to cheer her up" i said to my self. I run and tried to find something from breakfast and water. Normally i find these in the garbage but i have to find something good for her. But i don't like breaking the law or borrowing from someone else. I like to do things my own way.
After all, i ended up seeking food from garbage and around the beach. "Anything can be okay right? I don't know i never served anyone other than me". After some time i found a half eaten sandwich, a half eaten fish and water from the fountain. I think these are okay

I woke up and i saw that Chase was not here. I panicked and i got out when i suddenly saw him. I slipped and fell with my face onto the ground. "Good morning Skye! Hope you are hungry cause i got breakfast!" "Good morning Chase. Thanks i appreciate it!" he woke up early just to fetch me something to eat. I have to repay him some time. "Chase you woke up early?" "Yep i always do. And after all what happened i thought of bringing us something to eat. Hope this is enough." A half eaten sandwich, a half eaten fish and water. "It is more than enough. Let's share." i said as we started our day.

It was now evening and we didn't do something until. "Hey Skye, is it okay with you if you tell me some things about your self? I mean we have to know some things about eachother so we can trust one another." I said to Skye. We were silent for a lot of time. I mean she is still getting over that horrific accident. I understand her. "Yeah Chase you are right. Let's talk about us. But since you are the one who questioned you start first!" "Okay well, I love having things organised and i love running. I don't want to make others uncomfortable and i have a dream of becoming a police pup. I know it sounds stupid but dreams are for the fools who dare." "These sound cool! I love running as well and i was training doing backflips but my parents forbade me of doing it heh. Oh and also i love the sky. Especially the night sky. It also sounds like my name. I really dream of being up there feeling the clouds and the evening breeze. Maybe one day i can fly." "Well then we will have to make you wings!" "Naah! Have you seen my ears? I will just flop them till i get in the air!" "Hahaha that's hilarious Skye!" i said as i fell to the sand on my back. It was pretty relaxing having a conversation with her. "Well we know some basic things of ourselves now. Do you feel any better?" "Yeah Chase i do. Thank you. I mean after all that happened i couldn't imagine that i would meet such a great friend out of nowhere. I think we can learn some more things about eachother though. And we can fulfill our dreams." "I will be a police pup one day. And you will fly. Nothing can stop us!" I jumped onto her and started fighting playfully with her. It just came out of nowhere but she just tagged along. After everything that has happened i can finally say that i can come over it. I think Skye feels the same way. I will protect her. "By the way is your leg any better?" "Yeah it is kind of better. I mean i could fight with you. You are pretty heavier than i am!" "Eh that's rude!" "Don't take it like that you dummy!" she said as we laughed

Night fell and we both headed to sleep. All the playtime was pretty exhausting. "Chase thank you for this day. You made it a lot better." "Oh no need Skye i just thought that after everything has happened i could me some of help." "Well you might not know it but, today is my birthday." "Your birthday?! And you said nothing?! I don't have a gift!" "Hey hey chil! Haha don't worry. After everything you've done today i am really grateful. It was the best birthday ever!" she said smiling as her magenta eyes sparkled so brightly under the moonlight. It was the first time i checked her face for a long time. I blushed but i tried to hide it with a laugh. "Oh Skye i am flattered. This is what friends are for! Friend hug?" "Friend hug." He hugged for a bit and then fell to our sides. Me on the right she on the left. This time though we faced eachother. I hope i can learn a lot more about her and everything can be peaceful. "Goodnight Skye." "Goodnight Chase."
