Elizabeth stayed in the bed, motionless for most of the time. She tried walking a couple of times, with the help of some maids. But it's like she's lost the strength in her legs, and would take a while to regain that. But she practiced and practiced every minute, before finally getting.
Now she could walk on her own, she did stumble, her legs were still weak and wobbly, but she could still walk on her own legs.
The first thing she did was go out of her room and straight to the garden, with Zyran following right behind her trying to hold her back. "Princess! You mustn't go out of your room! His highness ordered me to keep you safe in your room until he returns! Please, it's not safe for you, and you're still weak." His screams fall deaf on her ears, she continues to make her way to the garden.
The fresh breath of air in a long while is what she's been wanting, the flowers surrounding her, swaying with the wind in their direction.
"Princess!" Zyran comes right after her and tries to get her to come back, but she's too busy looking at the flowers around her. She closed her eyes and stood silently in the midst of it. She inhaled the scent around her.
It's been long since she's felt this peaceful, it truly felt like home. This is where she belongs.
She doesn't even realize her lips falling open and forming into a beautiful figure of a smile, plastered onto her face.
Zyran fell silent at that moment. Seeing her so bright, light filled in her eyes. She's never been so alive. A hand then came around her waist, pulling her into solid body, slightly taller than her. Her face as buried deeply into the man's chest. "You, please leave." Elizabeth had the faintest idea of who it might be, Roman sharply gestured for Zyran to leave immediately. And when Zyran leaves, he lets go of Elizabeth, moving a little back to look at her.
"Roman, why- Why did you do that? What are you doing here? If you're here for the crown prince, he went out this morning." She says, blinking up at him with round eyes.
"Elizabeth, I have to ask you two things right now. Never, ever show anyone your smile. No one. And number two, can you smile like that for me again? I want to see it again, my beautiful girl." He sounds so full of exhilaration, chest heaving.
"Your crazy, you ruined my moment of bliss right now. I'm not going to smile just because you said so." She turns to leave, but is sharply brought back by her wrist, she winces in pain at the grab, and Roman loosens his grip on her.
"Sorry. Tell me, what can I do to make you smile that way again? How can I return that bliss to you?" He asks, there's a craze in his eyes as he speaks to her now, and it's dangerous.
"Return that bliss to me? How about you leave?" She found an opportunity, and took the run for it, away from him. But she was only teasing him, running around the garden as he chased behind her.
"Elizabeth! Stop running! You're not healed yet!" It was true though, her feet still ache with each step she takes, a pain shooting through the entirety of her leg. Yet she continues to run. She shouldn't be running too much, because in the few seconds that she tries to, she immediately falls to the ground, groaning as her hands were soiled with mud.
"You have to be careful. Are you serious? Why did you run like that?" Roman picks her up slowly, making sure that she wouldn't fall over again.
"You're honestly so crazy, Elizabeth. You can't even walk properly yet but you want yo start running already? Does that even make sense?" He sighs, at her stupidness. And then puts her hands in his.
"Practice with me, you're going to try to walk towards me, slowly from far distances. Alright?"
He lets her go, and takes a few steps away.
"Come to me now, slowly." He says, arms open wide to catch her if she falls.
