Elizabeth and Roman had arrived in the eastern kingdom a long while ago and finished their work here. They had spoken with the leaders of the eastern kingdom and choose to partner up. Elizabeth had acquired some new land for herself, a new mine that would bring great fortune to her account and economics.

She felt as if she just left a very cruelly hard exam, and passed with full marks. Adrenaline coursed through her veins with excitement that she couldn't contain her self even if she was around Roman. "I'm happy." She didn't even realize she said that out loud, even Roman heard it. He thought she was speaking to him, but she wasn't. Roman almost smiled, masking it quickly when Elizabeth turns to him suddenly.

"Let's go to the nearby cafe. I heard the coffee was good there, and I feel tired right now. I would love to drink some coffee before returning home." Elizabeth suggested. Since they were in the eastern kingdom, where coffee was quite popular here for being so delicious, how could they leave without trying it even once?

"Whatever you wish for, my empress. I shall do it." Roman says as always, with a gentle tone and care. Elizabeth dignified him with a glance, a smile. They both headed to the cafe and found a table for themselves. There were many people here, with different statuses and hair colors. Elizabeth found herself surveying the people around her. Wondering if perhaps one of them was her husband who also choose to come to the same cafe at the same time.

Elizabeth would be blown away if that really was true. And she was. She was dealt with a blow painful enough to horrifyingly rip her heart. Maximillian was there in the crowd, and he wasn't alone. The person next to him brought Elizabeth cold to the touch, Roman tried to call her name multiple times, but she was too stunned to even speak. Her mind was slowly going lifeless, she didn't want to think anymore.

Of course Maximillian was with Ludovika. The girl he has been with since he knew about the word love. But how is she alive? Everyone had believed she had died in a carriage accident, even Maximillian believed it. So how did she come to be? Elizabeth hastily picked up the menu and covered her face, seeing that Maximillian was looking around in her tables direction. She feared to be spotted by him, but just once she wishes he would notice her and leave Ludovika. Elizabeth was given more time to scream at herself for how much she hated these feelings.

Roman was confused as to why she suddenly was covering her face with the menu. What was she looking at so fearfully? He slowly followed her gaze to the same table she was looking at, and he too was stilled. Not a breath escaped him as his eyes settled on the woman he once loved like it was breathing, painfully loved her. His eyes were round with wonder, fear. He looked at her like she was a dream.

He too covered his face with the same menu Elizabeth was holding. They were both there at the same time, and it would be terrible to be caught like this. Roman studied Elizabeth's face as he quite understood what she might be feeling. She saw her husband with the woman he loved most, she was back in his life just when they were starting to get closer and she was slowly letting him in back. Roman was not occupied with the thoughts of Ludovika however. Although he did love her for the longest time, it didn't impact him anymore as he thought it would. He perhaps found that somewhere else, someone else to look at.
