It must've been maybe 10 or more years ago. It was a certain day that Maximillian was still a youthful crown prince, still so full in love with the woman of his dreams. Ludovika. She was perfectly fit in his arms, sitting on his lap as they laughed together.

They were all in a bar only available to noble people. It was a popular spot for young nobles like them both. While Maximillian and Ludovika were in a separate room, Roman and Johannes were sitting outside like lost souls. They were both staring intently into the room that the both of them were in, especially Johannes.

Heaven knows how much he loved Ludovika. He loved her possibly more than Maximillian ever could. But Ludovika would never understand or see him that way. He will always be the friend of the one she loves. Or something related to that.

"Ludovika," Maximillian says softly, taking in her every feature. Committing it to his memory as he rests his head against his hand, elbow placed against the couch head. "I'm going to marry you one day, and make you mine. You'll be mine for the rest of my life." He says, looking all over her face as if he can't believe she's real. And all his. "Please don't ever leave me, Ludovika." He whispers her name with a longing she's never heard before. No one has ever offered their everything up to Ludovika. She touched the palm of her hand to his chest and nodded.

"Of course I'll never leave you, Your royal Highness." She says. Then after a moment, whispers three full words that made Maximillian's heart constrict within him. "I love you."

"I love you too." It was like a fantastic ending to a novel, this pure bliss almost like a dream. He got the girl of his dreams in his arms, right by his side and she loved him. Just as much as he did. Maximillian drank the full liquor in the glass he was holding forever and made a low groan full of satisfaction. His eyes darkened as he looked at Ludovika, setting the glass down beside him on the table.

Then briefly pressed his lips against her mouth, Ludovika looked a little shocked. But then melted into the kiss. Her hands slipping around his neck as he licked against her lips. Yes, this was a fantastic ending for Maximillian. Until an astonished gasp sounded from the door.

Both of them turned to the door, Ludovika a little startled tried pushing Maximillian away in case anyone saw, but Maximillian held her close to his body. He would protect her from everything in this world. Elizabeth stood at the door, with her back turned to them. She must've witnessed them kissing.

"How can you be so disgraceful in broad daylight? Is this even the time to be doing this right now your royal Highness?" She asks, keeping her back still faces to them. Maximillian knows full what she's talking about. The coronation of the new emperor is coming soon, and after that was a supposed engagement between Maximillian and Elizabeth.

However Maximillian has different plans. After he becomes emperor he's going to cancel the marriage with Elizabeth and marry Ludovika instantly. "It's not disgraceful if It's the future empress I'm with is it?" She turns around now, and he can see her full face gasping horrified at his words. The horror dawning in her eyes. It looks like she can't say anything anymore. He will shower no mercy. Elizabeth must be fuming and planning many things to covet the crown prince right now. But he wouldn't fall for her. Ever. Not even if he had to die.
