"it's time to get started, and as usual on love island, we're going to get you coupled up. but things this year are going to be a little bit different." ariana begins. "we're going to play a game where you will get to kiss each other first, to see if you're compatible before you make a decision on who to couple up with." ariana announces, watching with glee as the islanders understand the game.

kendall is up first, with the cheering and support from the group, he breaks the ice to read the first question. he chooses to kiss leah, as the person he is most intimidated by. next was jana's turn, whose question read to kiss the two islanders who give her green flag vibes. she chose coye as well as rob, causing me to unintentionally pout. as they settled back into their seats, aaron was called to take his turn. his question was by far the hardest of the night so far, to kiss someone who he thought had the highest body count.

truthfully, i was concerned by the question, i didn't think that should hold value as to how someone perceived a person and didn't want any of the girls to be upset. thankfully, aaron explained he did not agree with the question at all, but selected kaylor, simply because he wanted to kiss her. kordell was next and his question prompted cheers as he selected serena, who he thought was a heartbreaker. i was called up next, unaware of the pair of eyes following me to the table.

nervously i read my card aloud, "kiss the islander you are most attracted to." i allow myself a breath as the girls cheer me on. slowly, i lock eyes with rob as i start to make my way towards him. once i stop in front of him, he takes my hand as we walk back to the center. his hands find my hips as he starts to lean down, "be gentle" he teases as i reach up to connect our lips for the first time. butterflies explode in my belly as we meet, both taking an inaudible breathe before passion takes over.

i drag my nails up his chest and wrap them around his neck, whilst one of his hands tightens around my hip and the other reaches up to gently tilt my head. we lose ourselves in the slow rhythm of the kiss, which lasts far longer than any other of the night. as we separate, we are greeted by whoops and laughter of the other islanders.

rob/ beach hut:
"what else is there to say? rory is amazing. she's beautiful, an incredible kisser and an absolute sweetheart. i'm so fucked."

aurora/ beach hut:
"that kiss was wow! i mean i haven't kissed many people before, but i can't imagine it could be any better than that! it was magical, i swear it was something special."

kaylor's turn was next, "kiss the islander you think is most fake", she chose rob, which i didn't enjoy but it was a really chaste kiss. after her was coye, he had to kiss two islanders who first caught his eye, and he pulled serena and jana. we all cheered as he pulled serena up off the ground. jana also seemed to enjoy their kiss, and i love that for her. with the game coming to a close, it was now rob's turn. he read "kiss the islander who gives you mean girl vibes" and immediately made his was towards me. i frowned and the others gasped, before he explained "you give the exact opposite of mean girl vibes. i just need to kiss you again" he desperately connects our lips again. i gasp into the kiss as he yanks me up and pulls me as close as he can. my hands find his hair as we lose ourselves in each other again. "you're beautiful" he says as he gently sets me back down.

rob/ beach hut:
"she is the farthest thing from a mean girl i've ever seen. i just needed a way to kiss her again."

aurora/ beach hut:
"i was hoping he would kiss me again. i mean, i know the whole point of the island is to meet other people, but. i really was hoping."

leah reads the last question to wrap up the game, "kiss the islander you think would be best in bed." the boys go wild as she confidently struts up to kendall before pulling him into a steamy kiss. they both pull away, short of breath, and we cheer their return to the couch. "all right. you've all had the chance to get to know each other better, and saliva has been shared," ariana started "now hopefully you all have a better idea of who you want to be coupled up with, or don't want to be coupled up with."

"shall we do it?" everyone cheered as we began to follow her to where we will couple up.
