i wake up this morning in a great mood, confident that things will start settling down in the villa. rob and i are doing great, he is everything i could ask for and i feel so extremely lucky to have met him. i've made friends with a great group of people, each supporting and encouraging me in their own way. i know no matter what happens, i will never forget them or the time we spent in the villa.
as the lights turn on, i give rob a kiss, running my fingers over his hair before following the girls to the beauty room. we share quiet greetings as we settle in to prepare for the day. i'd just finished changing as a knock rings out, rob and kordell poking their heads in before making their way over to the vanity. rob sets down my smoothie before pulling me into his arms, "good morning" he rasps, kissing me sweetly. i blush, thanking him as i give him another kiss before he leaves. the girls cheer for us, commenting on how sweet our guys are.
"hakeem has never done that" liv murmurs, her face pinched in disappointment as she sets down her makeup. i get up, walking around the vanity to give her a hug. i set my chin against her shoulder as i try to comfort her, whispering that it will be okay. "maybe talk to him, let him know how you're feeling." she tells me she will, kissing my cheek as i return to my seat. i braid my hair, deciding to skip makeup today. i apply my sunscreen, admiring how my freckles have changed with the fijian sun.
i skip down the stairs, the other girls laughing at my display of sheer joy. i say hello to the boys before walking over to the grass, leah and jana following me as we do a light yoga session. i make my way into the pool, cooling down and enjoying the water. across the villa, the boys spot me, letting out cheers and shouts as they run towards the water and jump in, splashing the other girls sitting near by. i laugh even as they yell, the happiness of the moment a physical feeling in the air.
i'm jerked out of my thoughts as someone scoops up my legs, slinging me across their shoulder. "dolly girl" aaron teases as he pretends to dunk my head under the water. i squeak, laughing as rob shouts teasingly, "aaron, get your fucking hands off my girl!" aaron complains playfully, "he won't share the love, huh boys." they laugh as rob finally reaches us, gently snatching me out of aaron's hold. i pat his face as i smile at him, eyes bright with humor, "robby" i coo, "there's no reason to be mean, there's enough of me to go around."
he playfully bites at my hand before tucking his face into my neck. he licks up my skin before connecting our lips, "i licked it, that means it's mine" he taunts, my face flushing as the boys cheer. i swat at his arm, enjoying the happiness radiating off of him. i place a kiss of my own on his neck before whispering my agreement, "yours." we spend the next few hours in the water, only leaving as my stomach starts to growl. as we make our way to the kitchen, i notice leah and connor tucked into the bean bags, closer than friends normally are.
i frown slightly, nudging rob as i point them out. "what's that about?" i ask, he shakes his head in confusion, "i have no idea." as we get closer to the kitchen, i see liv storming off, hakeem shouting after her. i freeze slightly, the urge to comfort my friend coming over me. rob kisses my head, "go, i'll bring up lunch for you two." i hurry up the stairs, trying to keep up with her long legged pace. "liv" i whisper, but she doesn't stop, rushing towards the beauty room. my heart drops as i finally make my way into the room. she sits at the vanity, shoulders hunched over as she attempts to hold in her tears.
i silently sit beside her, reaching out to hold her hand as i wait for her to speak. "he's so immature" she starts, voice laced with both hurt and indignation. "he's always criticizing me, he literally gives me rule after rule and just expects me to change. he told me i was the most negative person here." i gasp, squeezing her hand as i turn towards her, "you absolutely are not!" i say, my voice the hardest it's ever been. "he's being a total hypocrite. since he came in, all he's done is start drama." my voice softens, "i don't think you're negative at all, you just stand up for yourself. you're so confident, i wish i could be more like you"
liv lets out a watery laugh, wiping her eyes as she pulls me into a hug, "thank you, doll face." a knock comes from the door, i smile slightly, knowing who it is. "come in" i call out gently, a surprised look crossing liv's face as rob walks in carrying two plates. he sets them down, giving liv a gentle smile, "thought maybe you would be hungry, too. i hope you don't mind." he says sheepishly. she thanks him, pulling him into a hug before he makes his way back over to me. "the other girls will be up here soon" he says, kissing my head. i smile up at him, stretching to give him a kiss as i thank him.
liv and i eat as we wait for the other girls to make their way up here. her mood seems to lift the longer we talk, and by the time all the girls are getting ready, she's laughing along with them.
