after she left we split into smaller groups, rob, kendall, leah and i heading upstairs. poking our heads into the rooms we took in our new home for potentially the next six weeks. we stumbled along a cozy private room, that looked like a hot tub that had been covered with cushions and pillows. it was tucked out of plain view and has "soul ties" in neon writing above it. "soul ties is crazy" said kendall and leah at the same time making us all laugh. they decided to keep exploring as rob and i entered the room.
he stepped in first and gently helped me in, as i fluffed my dress out to reach my heels. when he saw what i was attempting to do, he gently moved me to lay back, "allow me, sweet girl." blushing, i watched as he carefully removed my shoes, gently stretching and massaging my legs and feet. goosebumps broke out on my skin, causing him to laugh and look back up at me. "thank you rob, that feels so much better." i say, a little embarrassed but trying to let him know how much i appreciate him.
rob lays down across from me, my legs still in his lap as he absentmindedly rubs them. "tell me about yourself" he implores, "what do you want to know?" i ask with a giggle. holding eye contact, he says "everything." "well," i start "my full name is aurora wren james. i'm twenty two and my birthday is may first, making me a taurus. i live in a small town in georgia called madison. i have two older brothers and a pet bunny, his name is cupid and he's the best boy, truthfully i love all animals and would have more if i could. i just graduated with my b.a. in early childhood development and i currently work in a daycare."
"a pet bunny?" he asks, "oh yes, he's very smart and the sweetest thing. he just wants to be with me every second of the day." i tell him. he laughs, "yeah i could see why. me too, sweet girl, i would spend every minute i could with you." i playfully swat at him and he grabs my hand, pulling me to sit across his lap. "is this alright, birdie?" he asks, making sure he isn't moving too quickly. i cuddle further into him, letting his warmth relax me, "yes, but where did birdie come from?" i ask, looking up at him with a puzzled look. he gazes at me for a second, his hand coming up to rub across my bottom lip before settling on my thigh, "i wanted to have a name for you, that was special just for me." he says before pulling me in further. i smile as i ask him to tell me about himself. he tells me he is also from a small town, in alabama and that he catches snakes for a living.
after spending a bit more time in soul ties, we realize everyone else is getting ready for bed. he picks me up and starts to carry me over to the other girls in the beauty room. "how do you feel about sharing a bed with me?" he asks as he sets me down. our height difference is much more pronounced now that i've taken my shoes off, i lean back to look at him and reply "i can't wait robby, i hope you like to snuggle." he laughs, nodding his head and then leans down to kiss my cheek, "don't take too long, sweet girl. i'll be waiting for you," i smile, and promise i won't before entering the room to get ready for bed.
the girls and i catch up on our evenings and how we are feeling in our couples. after taking my makeup off, i go to the bathroom to do my hygiene and skin care routine. making my way back to the beauty room i change into my pajamas and thank the girls for the compliments. i brush my hair and add strawberry lip balm to my lips before hugging each girl and telling them goodnight.

entering the bedroom i tell each boy goodnight before finding rob under the blankets in our bed. as i make my way to him he sits up and pulls back the covers for me to get in. we spend a few minutes talking to kaylor and aaron, who are in the bed next to us, before the lights go out. as everyone settles down i turn to face rob, intending to tell him goodnight when i see him staring at me already. before i can ask if everything is okay, he asks to kiss me. heart racing with excitement, i say yes and he pulls me over and tilts my head down to meet his lips. we spend the next few minutes sharing a sweet, intense kiss until he pulls away to tuck my body against his chest. he gently kisses my neck as i settle on my stomach and whispers in my ear "you taste so sweet, birdie. dream of me." i doze off, his warm weight on my back, a content feeling in my chest and do just that.
