Ana was bummed when she found out she wouldn't be sharing a dorm with Mal and Evie.

Turns out the dorms in Auradon have thing about only having two people per room.

It sucked to be the only one of the group whose left out.

Opening the door, she was greeted with a lilac room with two beds, one bed on the left side and one on the right.

She could see the right side was occupied due to the several decorations that hung around the bed and the photographs that sat on the night stand.

"Hey! You must be my new roommate!"

An enthusiatic voice said from out of nowhere, making Ana quickly turn to look at her.

She had gorgeous raven hair that was cut to a short bob, with thick bangs across her forehead.

She wore a white headband with a little flower. Her honey-brown eyes sparkled, matching her bright smile.

"Your Analise, right?" She grinned, offering a handshake. "I'm Lonnie, My Mom's Mulan."

Ana smiled at her and shook her hand. "Yep, just call me Ana."

Lonnie's smile brightened even more if it was possible, making Ana start to feel... at ease.

"You look gorgeous!" Lonnie gushed bringing Ana to a hug, making the red head freeze.

"Uh-Thank you..."

Ana's cheeks were tinted a bit pink at the compliment.

It was the first time someone said she was attractive.

Well, of course she would hear Evie and Mal say it to her all the time, but they were her friends.

They're somehow obligated to, and coming from other people? It made her feel happy.

Back at the Isle, her mother would just criticize her.

Commenting on how she looks dreadful today, or how she smelt like fish, how she could've made more effort.

"I love the whole leather jacket thing! I'm actually planning to buy one myself. I made some plans going to town and looking through some of the shops-Oh, you have to come with me!" Lonnie rambled.

Ana was shocked, eyes widening at the offer. "You-You want me to go with you?"

"Of course, silly!" Lonnie giggled, sitting on her bed. "I mean other than you need some clothes for school, I was thinking of helping you decorate your side!"

"Really? You would do that?"

Lonnie laughed and nodded. "Of course! Anyways, let me help you with your things, I'm sure your back is aching from carrying this thing."

She tried to take the bag off her shoulder, before Ana backed away with a shake of her head.

"Oh no! It's fine, its not that heavy anyways, I didn't really have much..." Ana mumbled the last sentence.

"Oh..." Lonnie looked kind of sad and Ana hated it.

I just had to ruin it

"Uhm-Well, let me give you a small tour!" Lonnie changed the subject quickly and Ana gave her a thankful smile in return.

"So, obviously this is your bed..." She chuckled, patting the canopy.

Walking away, she gestured at a large vanity with large mirrors. "This is your vanity, you can put like your makeup, perfume... whatever you want!" She then gestured to the two drawers. "Okay, so this thing doesn't really have a divider in it, but we can buy some when we go into town."

Ana nodded, appreciating the brunette's efforts.

Lonnie continued to show her all the stuff in their dorm, even showing the huge bathroom with tons of different kinds of scented soaps and shampoo.

At the end of the tour, Ana had got to know Lonnie a lot. Laughing at her jokes and constant rambles. She really was thankful for her, for making her feel comfortable.

I guess this place isn't that bad

After settling into her dorm, with the help of her new friend, Lonnie, Ana was starting to like Auradon.

And she didn't like it one bit.

She couldn't sleep no matter how many times she tried to.

She rolled around her bed, trying to keep her thoughts at bay.

"Ana, you alright?"

The soft voice of her roommate broke the silence in their dorm.

Ana turned to her direction and chuckled at the sight of Lonnie.

She wore her night gown with fluffy slippers that looked similarly to a dragon. On top of her head was a fluffy headband, her face was covered in some sort of green mush.

"Yeah, I'm fine..." Ana sighed as she sat up from her comfy bed. "Just couldn't sleep, y'know?"

Lonnie nodded in understanding, smiling softly at her. "Yeah, I totally get it, every time I stay at a different place, I can't sleep a wink. I only ended up sleeping in the morning."

Ana chuckled, looking down at her hands. She played with her bracelet as she bit her lip, thinking about what she and her friends are supposed to do.

"You know... you can go get some fresh air, if you'd like." Lonnie told her. "I find it therapeutic and it helps me sleep sometimes."

"But isn't it 5 minutes till curfew?"

"What Fairy Godmother doesn't know won't hurt her."

With that Lonnie winked at her, making her chuckle before the girl went back to the bathroom to wash her face.

Ana stood up from her bed, grabbing a jacket given to her by Lonnie. She fixed her hair before putting on her boots.

"Lon? I'm going out..." She called out quietly.

"Okay! Don't worry, I'll cover for you..."

Ana thanked her and wished her good night before carefully opening the door, creeping out of the room.
