As the morning sun bathed the city in warm light, Phuwin, Dunk, and Gemini were on their way to their respective destinations. Phuwin was behind the wheel, a smile plastered on his face as he drove. Dunk sat in the passenger seat, while Gemini lounged comfortably in the back.
The car was filled with laughter and animated chatter. Gemini leaned forward between the seats, teasing Dunk, “So, Dunk, how’s p'Joong? Still completely whipped, I bet.”
Dunk’s cheeks flushed a bright red. “Shut up, Gem! He’s not whipped, he’s just... very caring.”
Phuwin chuckled, glancing at Dunk with a teasing grin. “Looks like Dunk’s in the hot seat. p'Joong must be quite the catch if he’s got you this flustered.”
Gemini joined in, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “Oh, I’ve met p'Joong a couple of times. He seems like a good guy, though, responsible and all. You’re lucky, Dunk.”
Dunk puffed up with mock indignation. “Yeah, yeah. He’s a great guy. But don’t think you’re off the hook, Gem. I’m still recovering from all the ‘whipped’ comments.”
The three of them continued chatting, catching up on all the details of the past three years. They laughed about old memories and shared new stories. Phuwin’s laughter rang out as Dunk and Gemini bickered about various topics.
After a while, they reached Dunk’s office. Phuwin parked the car, and Dunk prepared to get out. “Thanks for the ride, Phu. And don’t think you’re off the hook either. I want to hear all about your adventures in the US.”
Phuwin grinned. “Sure thing, Dunk. I’ll fill you in on everything, but you better be ready to keep up with all the stories.”
Gemini leaned in, adding, “And don’t forget, Dunk. p'Joong better not be too upset that you’re late for your lunch date. Or I might have to intervene.”
Dunk shook his head, laughing. “You’re impossible, Gem. I’ll catch up with you later.”
As Dunk walked towards his office building, Phuwin and Gemini drove off towards the university. When they arrived, Phuwin parked and turned to Gemini with a grin. “Alright, you. Finish your classes, and give me a call when you’re done. We’ll hang out as planned.”
Gemini’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Really? That sounds amazing! Are we going somewhere fun?”
Phuwin nodded, chuckling. “Definitely. We’ll have a great time. But remember, we have a condition. We need to be back in time for the dinner at the Aydins house. Papa’s orders.”
Gemini groaned playfully. “Okay, okay. We’ll make sure to be punctual. But don’t think you can get away with just any old hangout. We’re going to have a blast.”
Phuwin laughed, ruffling Gemini’s hair. “You got it. I’ll see you later. Have a great day at uni.”
Gemini hugged Phuwin tightly. “Thanks, Phu. I’m really glad you’re back. See you soon.”
As Gemini headed towards his classes, Phuwin watched him go with a fond smile. He couldn’t wait to catch up with his brother and enjoy the day together. The drive back to his own plans was filled with anticipation, eager to spend quality time with his family.
