As Pond and Phuwin stepped inside the cozy cottage, Phuwin was immediately struck by how warm and inviting the space felt. The soft, neutral tones of the walls, the elegant wooden furniture, and the warm lighting gave the whole place a homey atmosphere. Phuwin’s eyes sparkled as he looked around, taking in every detail.
“Pond... this place is amazing,” Phuwin breathed out, his voice filled with wonder.
Pond smiled, watching Phuwin’s reaction closely, his heart swelling with happiness. “I’m glad you like it, baby,” he said softly.
Phuwin moved further into the cottage, his eyes roaming over the master bedroom, which was tastefully decorated with warm, earthy tones, creating a serene and peaceful vibe. He noticed the large balcony connected to the room, and as he walked out, he was met with the sight of a natural swimming pool, surrounded by lush greenery. The whole setup felt like something out of a dream.
"It’s perfect,” Phuwin whispered as he turned back towards him, his face glowing with pure joy.
Unable to hold back his emotions, Phuwin walked up to Pond and leaned in, capturing his lips in a soft, tender kiss. It was a kiss filled with love, gratitude, and everything he couldn’t put into words. Pond responded just as passionately, his arms wrapping around Phuwin’s waist, pulling him closer as their lips moved in sync. The kiss was deep and intimate, expressing their unspoken feelings for each other.
When they finally pulled apart, Pond smiled at Phuwin, gently brushing a strand of hair away from his face. “I wanted to make this day special for you,” he said softly.
Phuwin smiled shyly, his heart racing. “You already did, Pond. This... all of this... it’s beyond perfect.”
Pond grinned and took Phuwin’s hand, leading him out to the backside of the house. Phuwin’s eyes widened as they reached the garden. There was a small pond, and further down, a narrow path led to a hidden waterfall surrounded by lush bushes. The sound of the water flowing combined with the natural beauty of the surroundings took Phuwin’s breath away.
“This is incredible,” Phuwin said, his voice full of awe as he gazed at the hidden waterfall. “I didn’t think it could get more beautiful, but you keep surprising me.”
Pond chuckled softly, but his expression grew more serious. “There’s one more surprise,” he whispered.
Before Phuwin could respond, Pond suddenly dropped to one knee, right in front of him. Phuwin’s eyes widened in shock, his heart pounding in his chest.
“P-Pond?” Phuwin stuttered, unable to process what was happening.
Pond looked up at him with teary eyes, his smile soft and full of love. “Phuwin... there’s something I’ve been wanting to tell you for a long time,” he began, his voice steady despite the emotions building inside him. “You’ve been there for me through everything... through my struggles, my pain, and my worst days. You never gave up on me, even when I pushed you away. You saw the broken parts of me, and instead of running, you stayed. You believed in me, loved me without expecting anything in return... and because of you, I healed. You were the soothing balm to my broken heart, Phuwin. Every time I felt lost or alone, you were the one who brought me back, who made everything better.”
Phuwin’s tears began to fall as he listened to Pond’s heartfelt words, his hands trembling slightly. He couldn’t believe this was happening.
Pond continued, his voice shaking with emotion. “I know... I never officially asked you to be my boyfriend, and I’m already jumping ahead by asking this, but... I can’t wait any longer. I don’t want to spend another minute without you by my side.” He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box. “Phuwin Tangsekyuen, will you marry me? Will you let me be the one who wakes up next to you every morning and kisses you goodnight? Will you give me the honor of calling you my husband?”
Phuwin’s breath hitched, and he felt like his heart might burst from all the emotions swirling inside him. He stared down at Pond, his mind racing, but one thing was crystal clear — he wanted this more than anything.
“P-Pond...” Phuwin’s voice broke as tears streamed down his cheeks. He couldn’t find the words to express what he was feeling.
Pond chuckled softly, his own eyes glistening with tears. “I know it’s sudden, baby... I haven’t even officially asked you to be my boyfriend, but I couldn’t wait anymore. I can’t stand the thought of spending another day without you in my life. I want to cherish you, take care of you... I want to see your pretty face every morning and every night. You’re my everything, Phu.”
Phuwin’s heart swelled with love, and without a second thought, he knelt down in front of Pond, wrapping his arms around him in a tight embrace. “Yes... yes, Pond, I’ll marry you,” he whispered through his tears, burying his face in Pond’s chest. “You’re making me cry, you stupid puppy... giving me shock after shock like this,” he added with a watery laugh.
Pond laughed softly, hugging Phuwin back just as tightly. “I’m sorry, baby... I just couldn’t wait any longer,” he murmured, kissing the top of Phuwin’s head.
After a moment, they pulled apart, and Pond gently took Phuwin’s hand, sliding the diamond ring onto his finger. He kissed Phuwin’s hand, smiling warmly as he looked at the ring shining on his fiancé’s finger.
Phuwin blushed, his heart racing as he stared at the ring, a symbol of Pond’s love and commitment.
Pond cupped Phuwin’s cheeks, leaning in to press a gentle kiss to his forehead. “I love you, Phu. I love you so much. Thank you for coming into my life... for being my soothing balm, for being my everything,” he whispered, his voice filled with sincerity and love.
Phuwin looked up at him, his eyes shining with tears of joy. “I love you too, Pond... more than anything. I’m so happy... I can’t believe this is real,” he said softly.
Pond smiled, gazing deeply into Phuwin’s eyes. “It’s real, baby... and I promise, I’ll spend the rest of my life making you happy, cherishing every moment with you.”
Phuwin smiled back, tears falling from his eyes, but his heart felt light and full. “You already do, Pond... you already do.”
With that, they embraced again, holding each other tightly as the sound of the waterfall and the beauty of nature surrounded them. They were in their own world, wrapped in each other’s love, and nothing could be more perfect.
