It was another busy day at the office, and today was a crucial one for Pond, Phuwin, Joong, and Dunk. They were gathered in the conference room, going over the final details for an important business deal. The atmosphere was tense yet professional as all eyes focused on the deal.

After an intense negotiation, the deal was finally sealed. Joong stood up, adjusting his suit jacket with a confident smile. "Well, everyone, congratulations! We’ve successfully closed the deal," Joong announced proudly, glancing at the satisfied faces around the room. "To celebrate, I’m giving everyone the rest of the day off. It’s a half-day, so go home, relax, and recharge."

The employees cheered and began gathering their things, ready to leave. Joong and Dunk approached Pond and Phuwin. Dunk was already holding Joong’s hand, and Joong flashed Phuwin a knowing wink. “I’m taking Dunk out on a date,” Joong said, his eyes gleaming with mischief, clearly hinting at something. "You two should do something fun as well."

Phuwin understood immediately what Joong was up to and gave him a grateful smile. Joong was creating the perfect opportunity for him to speak with Pond privately. "Have fun!" Joong added before leaving with Dunk, their voices fading as they headed out.

Phuwin smiled to himself, knowing this was his moment. He packed up his things and headed to Pond’s cabin. When he entered, Pond was still buried in his work, typing away furiously on his laptop, completely ignoring the fact that they had a day off.

Phuwin sighed and walked closer. "Pond, it’s a day off. You should go home and rest. Why are you still overworking yourself?"

Without looking up from the screen, Pond muttered, "It’s important work, Phuwin. I can’t leave just yet."

Phuwin frowned, determined not to let Pond brush him off this time. Without saying a word, he moved closer and closed Pond’s laptop, catching him off guard. Pond looked up, startled. "Phuwin! What are you doing? Can’t you see I’m working?"

Phuwin simply shook his head and started packing up Pond’s belongings. "No, you’re not working anymore," he said firmly.

Pond stood up in protest. "Phuwin, seriously, where are you taking me? It's important , I have to finish this!"

Phuwin stopped in his tracks, turned around, and looked directly into Pond’s eyes. "And you are important to me," he said, his voice soft but steady. "I need to talk to you, Pond. Please, just 30 minutes of your time. After that, you can do whatever you want. But I need you to hear me out. Please, just this once."

The raw emotion in Phuwin’s voice caught Pond off guard. He fell silent, guilt bubbling up inside him. Realizing how distant he had been, he simply nodded, unable to argue any further.

Phuwin gave a small, relieved smile and gestured for Pond to follow him. They walked out of the office, Pond trailing behind. Phuwin drove them to the park where they had once shared ice cream together. Memories of that carefree day flashed through Phuwin’s mind, and he wondered how things had gotten so distant between them.

They arrived at the park, and Phuwin led Pond to the same swings they had sat on before. He motioned for Pond to sit down, then quickly went to a nearby ice cream truck and bought two ice creams. Returning, he handed one to Pond and sat on the adjacent swing.

For a while, they just sat there in silence, eating their ice cream. The quiet was comfortable yet tense, both of them lost in their own thoughts.

After they finished, Phuwin took a deep breath and broke the silence. "I miss this," he said softly, glancing at Pond with a sad smile. "I know we haven’t known each other for long, but I miss spending time with you."

Pond lowered his eyes, feeling a wave of guilt wash over him. Before he could say anything, Phuwin raised his hand. "Please, just let me talk today. I need to say this, and then you can go if you want."

Pond remained silent, sensing the gravity of Phuwin’s words.

Phuwin turned fully to face him. "Pond, I don’t know when it happened, or how, but you’ve made me feel things I’ve never felt before. When I’m with you, I feel like the happiest person in the world. You make me smile without even trying. When you’re upset, I feel it too, and it hurts me."

Pond’s eyes widened slightly, but he remained still, letting Phuwin continue.

"I thought we were just friends, but the more time we spent together, the more I realized it was more than that for me. And when you started avoiding me, it hurt so much, Pond. It was like my heart was tearing apart every time you ignored me. That’s when I realized, I.... I like you."

Pond’s breath hitched, his heart pounding in his chest.

"I like you, Pond," Phuwin said earnestly, his voice trembling slightly. "I want to take care of you, make you happy, and never see you sad again. I don’t know what made you start avoiding me, but I need to know. I just... I needed you to know how I feel, so I can at least stop wondering."

Pond was silent for a moment, overwhelmed by everything Phuwin had just said. He could feel Phuwin’s sincerity, the pain, and love behind every word. Slowly, he reached for Phuwin’s hand, holding it tightly. "Phuwin... I’m sorry," he whispered, his voice shaking. "I didn’t mean to make you feel like that. I just... I didn’t know what to do."

Phuwin watched him, waiting patiently.

"I’ve been feeling things too," Pond continued, struggling to find the right words. "Every time I’m around you, my heart races, and when you smile at me, it feels like the whole world stops. But I didn’t understand what it meant, and I was scared of it. I didn’t know how to act, so I thought if I avoided you, it would go away. But it didn’t. It just made things worse."

Pond’s voice broke as he buried his face in his hands, tears threatening to spill. "I was scared, Phuwin. Scared of how much you mean to me."

Phuwin gently placed a hand on Pond’s shoulder, pulling him into a comforting hug. "Shh, it’s okay, Pond. It’s okay to be scared. But you don’t have to go through this alone. I’m here with you. We can figure this out together."

Pond melted into Phuwin’s embrace, his hands clutching onto Phuwin’s shirt tightly. "I’m sorry, Phuwin. I didn’t mean to hurt you."

Phuwin smiled softly, brushing Pond’s hair. "No more sorry, okay? Just... don’t avoid me anymore. Let’s talk, let’s figure this out. You don’t have to decide anything right now."

Pond slowly pulled back from the hug, his eyes still red but a small smile tugging at his lips. "Whatever you say..."

Phuwin shook his head, smiling gently. "No, Pond. This isn’t about what I say. It’s about what you want. Your decision is important. You don’t have to force yourself. Take small steps, and we’ll figure this out together."

Pond nodded, feeling a wave of warmth and relief wash over him. "I want to try, Phuwin. I want to spend time with you, and see where this goes."

Phuwin’s smile widened, his heart swelling with happiness. "Then get ready to be courted," he teased, winking playfully.

Pond chuckled at that, his heart feeling lighter than it had in days.
