The big day had finally arrived—the wedding day for Pond and Phuwin. Both of them were brimming with excitement, but they also missed each other terribly. Their families had enforced a traditional custom that they must not see or speak to one another for two days before the wedding. Reluctantly, they obeyed the custom, but it only heightened their eagerness to reunite.
In his room, Pond was getting ready, his smile never leaving his face. The joy and excitement were so evident that even Joong and Fourth couldn’t resist teasing him. "Look at you! Grinning like a fool. Can’t wait to see your Phuphu, huh?" Joong chuckled.
Fourth added, "I bet he’s just as excited as you are, phi. Don’t worry; you’ll get to see him soon!"
Pond laughed along, his happiness undeniable. Just then, his fathers, Earth and Mix, entered the room. Earth walked up to him and pulled him into a warm hug, patting his back with pride in his eyes. "I’m so proud of you, son," Earth said, his voice full of emotion. "You’ve grown up into such a fine man, and now you’re about to marry the love of your life. I couldn’t be happier for you."
Mix smiled, giving his son a tight hug as well. "You deserve all the happiness in the world, Pond. Today is going to be the best day of your life."
"Thanks, dads," Pond smiled, feeling grateful and overwhelmed with love.
Meanwhile, in another room, Phuwin was getting ready too. He was dressed in a half-white suit, looking absolutely stunning. As the stylist finished his hair, Phuwin stared at his reflection in the mirror, smiling to himself. His heart raced as he thought about the day—he was about to marry Pond, the love of his life. Their journey together had been nothing short of amazing, and he couldn’t wait to spend the rest of his life with him.
"I’m going to be his husband," Phuwin whispered to himself, his cheeks turning pink with happiness. He felt a rush of warmth and excitement, imagining the moment when he would walk down the aisle.
Finally, the time came. Pond stood at the altar, his heart pounding with anticipation. His eyes were fixed on the doors, waiting for them to open. He could barely contain his happiness, eager to see Phuwin after two long days.
Then, the music began. The doors slowly opened, and there, standing in a half-white suit, was Phuwin, looking like an absolute vision. He was walking down the aisle with his dad, Tay, by his side, and for Pond, it felt like the world stopped. Phuwin looked ethereal, as if he had stepped out of a dream. His heart skipped a beat. He couldn’t take his eyes off him... Phuwin was all he could see.
Pond was speechless, his breath caught in his throat. He watched as Phuwin walked closer, his beauty more striking with every step. When Phuwin finally reached him, Pond didn’t wait—he stepped down from the altar, gently took Phuwin’s hand from Tay, and led him up to the stage. His touch was gentle, filled with love and reverence.
As they stood side by side, Pond leaned in close and whispered softly, his voice full of awe, “You are beautiful... Are you planning to kill me today, baby? You’re taking my breath away, looking this pretty on our wedding day.”
Phuwin’s face flushed a deep shade of red, his heart fluttering wildly. He was already feeling nervous and shy about the wedding, but Pond’s sweet words made his stomach flip in the best way possible. “Pond…” he whispered, his voice soft and filled with emotion, “Stop teasing me, you're making me blush too much…”
Pond chuckled softly, his eyes never leaving Phuwin’s. “How can I not, baby? You’re so breathtaking. I’m the luckiest man in the world today.”
Phuwin smiled, looking down for a moment to hide his blush, before gazing back into Pond’s eyes. “And I’m the luckiest to have you... I’ve always been.”
They stood there, staring into each other’s eyes, feeling like the world around them had disappeared. Nothing else mattered at that moment—just the two of them, standing together, ready to vow their lives to each other.
Phuwin’s face turned bright red, the heat of his blush creeping up his neck as he whispered back, “Pond, stop! Look at everyone—they’re all laughing at us because of you. Stupid puppy…”
Before Pond could respond, the priest cleared his throat loudly, trying to bring them back to the moment. Their families and guests couldn’t help but laugh at the adorable couple, lost in their own little world. Phuwin’s blush deepened, and he frowned cutely at Pond, whispering, "See? Now the priest is trying to make us focus, and it’s all because of you."
Pond chuckled softly, leaning in a little closer. “I can’t help it, baby. You’re too beautiful; how am I supposed to focus on anything else?”
The priest cleared his throat again, more pointedly this time, causing both Pond and Phuwin to straighten up. “Shall we begin, gentlemen?” the priest asked, a small smile tugging at his lips as the guests chuckled softly.
The priest began to speak, but Pond and Phuwin barely heard him. They were lost in each other’s presence, feeling the depth of their love like never before. When it was time for the vows, Pond took a deep breath, his eyes shimmering with emotion.
“Phuwin,” Pond began, his voice steady but filled with love, “I’ve known from the moment we met that you were someone special. You’ve made me a better person in every way, and today, I promise to spend the rest of my life loving you, cherishing you, and making you as happy as you make me. I will always stand by your side, through every moment, good or bad, because you are my everything.”
Phuwin’s eyes were glassy with unshed tears as he took his turn. “Pond, you’ve shown me a love that I never knew I could have. You’ve made me feel safe, understood, and cherished. Today, I promise to be your partner, your best friend, and your biggest supporter for the rest of our lives. I love you more than words can express, and I will spend every day showing you just how much.”
They exchanged rings, their hands trembling slightly with emotion. As Phuwin finished his vows, his eyes brimming with emotion, the priest smiled warmly. "By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you—"
But before the priest could even finish, Pond had already pulled Phuwin close, holding him tightly by the waist. Without waiting for permission, he pressed his lips to Phuwin’s in a deep, loving kiss, catching everyone by surprise, including Phuwin. For a moment, Phuwin’s eyes widened in shock, but he quickly melted into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Pond’s neck.
The guests erupted into laughter and applause, clearly entertained by the sudden kiss. Joong, ever the loud one, stood up and shouted, "Yaa! That’s my brother! You go, bro! That’s how it should be done!" He pumped his fist into the air, cheering loudly.
Dunk, who was sitting beside him, rolled his eyes and slapped Joong’s shoulder playfully. “Aii, Joong, shut up and sit down. Let them have their moment, you loudmouth.”
Joong just laughed, unfazed, while everyone else continued to cheer and clap for the couple. Phuwin, red-faced but smiling through the kiss, finally pulled back slightly and whispered breathlessly against Pond’s lips, "You’re unbelievable, you know that? Always rushing things…"
Pond grinned, his arms still wrapped securely around Phuwin. "I couldn’t wait another second, baby. I’ve been waiting my whole life to kiss my husband."
The room erupted in cheers, but all Pond and Phuwin could hear was the beating of their hearts, entwined as one.
