The walk was quiet at first with the two of you heading in the same direction. You walked almost side by side as you lingered in space, your footprints leaving their impact on the scarce snow below you.

You spoke, "We're quite far from the village already? Is this not enough?"

Kibutsuji shook his head, "I want to go further."

You didn't like those words. Your legs were growing tired.

Still, you lingered on regardless.

You made your way through a tight narrow pathway and managed to scurry through the tall trees when you smiled at the snowdrops you saw growing.

You headed towards them and Kibutsuji stopped seeing you become distracted.

A flash of annoyance fell over him but as he watched your expression it began to smooth over.

Your expression was one of pure curiosity.

He approached you slowly looking down at the ground to see the flower you were holding.

A flower? In this weather?

You stood up as you approached him, "They grow during winter months...they don't last long though..."

"If I could...I would get rid of all the snow already."

"You don't have to," you spoke in a soft tone, " it'll melt. Spring will be here in a month or two. Here."

He didn't say much just let you place the white flower into his hands. He examined it for a moment...there was nothing specials about it. He didn't see it in the same light.

You on the other hand smiled softly at the sight and Kibutsuji found himself staring at you. Once again, there was something about you he thought was appealing. You didn't even notice his eyes were on you.

It was only after awhile that you looked up to finally meet his gaze, "They're actually adorable aren't they?"

"Are they...?"

Your faces were so close together. You bit your lip, your cheeks blossoming.

Why was he staring at you?

Kibutsuji didn't bother looking away.

He kept his eyes persistently on you.

Yet again, you couldn't seem to speak.

You could feel your cheeks warming up but you looked away rather quickly.

You grew quiet.

There was silence.

...

"Well, I..."

You paused. You couldn't speak, your eyebrows furrowing as you stood in a flustered state.
