The next day came in a flash.

The sun which had once being a bright yellow, was now turning red. Your journey here had been worth it and you couldn't help but appreciate the time you spent with both demon slayers.

Kiyoko was the more vibrant and outgoing of the two. Always up to something, always on the move, always helping you out and showing you new things.

Thanks to her, you learned how to get a raven to land on you safely.

"If you ever need me," she said, "tell Yoriichi-sama. He'll find a way to get us in contact."

Yoriichi, on the other hand, was the more quiet of the two but was also, more thoughtful. He did things with intention and was especially considerate with you. The conversations you shared with him throughout your time together caused you to want to spend more time with him. You desired to become close to him.

Before you knew it, the last afternoon at the estate had arrived. You had spent the morning with Kiyoko, laughing and talking and learning more about her life before asking, Yoriichi in the afternoon if you could spend some time together.

He had said yes, of course.

You and Yoriichi ended up settling near the same lake where the memory of seeing him nude had been born . As you watched the setting sun, a cool breeze blew throughout the area and you smiled softly.

His red hair flowed majestically through the wind and you could feel your cheeks heating up as you observed him.

You gave a sigh of content, "This is perfect. I'm satisfied now."

Yoriichi looked at you with a blank stare.

After spending so much time with you over the past few days he seemed to understand more of who you were. It was evident that you enjoyed simple moments and were somewhat of a spontaneous person. You enjoyed doing things at a moment's notice, and weren't prone to overthinking.

"We're journeying back tomorrow," you commented.

You had enjoyed the last two days throughly, but you knew it was time to wrap this journey up.

"Yes, we must."

Yoriichi didn't even try to hide his thoughts. He wanted to be more transparent with you. You had told him you liked to hear his thoughts, and so, he decided he would try to be more straight forward.

"I actually asked you to come out here with me, because I knew it would our last chance to spend time here together."

You grabbed a rock nearby .

"From what I've seen so far, you excel at everything. So I thought we could just talk and skip stones."

"..."

Yoriichi didn't know how to respond to such a suggestion. It wasn't the skipping stones that stood out to him, but rather how you thought he excelled at everything. You weren't wrong...but you weren't right either.
