Kibutsuji experienced quite the adventure in your absence. While you were out taking leisurely walks and skipping stones-he was off burning down villages and devouring humans.

The word you had uttered struck a deep chord within him, bringing back memories of his true nature.

'Demons.'

It caused Kibutsuji to remember everything that had ever happened in his life. At his core, he was a demon.

He found it absurd that he had forgotten. It was the reason he was still alive. His demonhood was the reason he was better than all other beings.

Walking alongside that mountain, the memories of hundreds of years surged through his mind. It started at a place of weakness and disgust-a point in which he was longing for more. The faces of the people around him looked at him in pity. It tormented him-he hated being weak, and he wanted nothing more than to build strength. In those early days, he was too sick to do so.

But as time passed, his influence grew, and his trajectory shifted towards dominance and terror. His power had surged and with it, his control.

His current stability was promising, and the new demons under his command showed great potential,. He felt confident that at least some of them would perform well in the future.

It all seemed to be going on track until that fated night.

His veins bulged at the thought of the slayer who had almost undone him.

To think his memories had been wiped clean was unheard of-to think he had to be saved by a human.

A human girl.

A mere village girl.

(Y/N).

"..."

He hadn't spent much time with you, yet the word "peaceful" captured the fleeting moments. Your quiet mornings and lighthearted evenings provided a rare serenity he hadn't known in centuries.

Kibutsuji was very much aware that if you hadn't have found him in his vulnerable state-he would've perished under the sun.

He was also aware that humans were selfish. The most important thing to most were themselves. And although you did take care of yourself, you made a point to take care of him as well.

The notion was uncomfortable. He didn't like the idea of needing help from anyone...but something else bothered him more.

He had taken a liking to you.

In that brief period of vulnerability, with his demonic-nature erased and no sense of malice or guard-up he had actually grown quite fond of you...and even as he thought about you now there was a strange lingering of it-a curiosity he could not easily dismiss.

He remembered how easily he could fluster you. How delicate and delicious you looked when you were embarassed. The way you stuttered so adorably as you tried to catch your breath and composure.

He found himself captivated by these moments and craved more of them. There was a growing desire in him that was more than just fascination.

Kibutsuji wanted to dominate you entirely.

He convinced himself that his attraction was simply a yearning to claim you as his own. Your natural inclination to support and comfort him, to listen and care, only proved you worthy.

It made sense; there were few people like you and he believed he only deserved the best.

How would he make you submit to him?

His red eyes gleamed as thoughts ran through his head.

Oh.

He had an idea.

But before that, things needed to be put in order. He had to stabilize his empire. Only then would he go after you.

-

"Let's talk (Y/N)."

Upon seeing his face you smiled in relief, "You're back."

You got up to approach him but stopped dead in your tracks. The look in his eyes had changed.

You blinked a few times.

"Did your memories return?"

"..."

You blinked a few times, "Is something wrong?"

"..."

He stood up slowly, as he wandered closer to you. You blinked a bit looking up at him with un-expecting eyes. His attire was different then usual. He wasn't wearing his usual village wear, no, he wore a lavish haori, the material itself looked to be of such quality that even you were shocked by it.

"So...your memories did come back?" you asked yet again.

He still didn't respond, coming closer to you before stopping. There were no words exchanged for a moment as the two of you made eye contact.

As Kibutsuji looked down at you he felt a weird feeling enter him.

Nothing had changed. His feeling hadn't gone away.

"I was worried about you," you said, "you're not injured are you?"

He blinked a few times. How peculiar?

He had thought for sure he knew everything about himself-but he was learning something new.

He wanted you.

Although you seemed to be looking at him so innocently, his thoughts were in the complete opposite direction. He had other intentions.

He thought for a moment, as his eyes looked up at the window, seeing that the sun had fully set. It was now evening.

He was pleased. It gave him complete control.

He spoke directly, "You're going to come with me, (Y/N)."

You blinked a few times, "You want to take me somewhere?"

"I don't repeat myself."

You stiffened a bit.

"What do you mean?"

"I want to take you to my residence. Consider it a break from your cottage life."

You blinked.

You had just come back from a journey-of course he didn't know that. He wanted to take you to the place he lived... you were kind of curious.

"Okay."

He made his way outside and you followed him to see a large palanquin outside. There were four men waiting to pick it up and you smiled at the grandeur of the scenery.

It seemed his memories had come back-you wondered if these people were his servants.

Going inside the palaquin you bent down to enter the small box before sitting silently. Soon enough the palanquin was lifted and you felt euphoric feeling as it began to move.

Your eyes looked outside the small window with thoughtful eyes. You wondered what his residence looked like. Your eyes stayed glued to the window until your eyelids began to feel heavy, the journey of the day finally taking its toll on you. You shortly drifted off into sleep.
