Waking up the next day, you found yourself lying on a futon bed.
Your eyebrows furrowed.
You didn't remember walking back from the forest. You didn't know how you had gotten here, but the night before was quite clear in your mind; had he carried you back? You blushed at the thought.
You lifted yourself up slowly as your eyes looked towards the window. It was early morning. You were going to have to travel back soon. It would be better for you to get up and begin packing.
"Look at you," Kiyoko smiled, "you have no idea what happened, do you?"
You looked to your right to see Kiyoko standing. It was clear she had just been out surveying the area, as her nichirin sword was still in her hand. You looked at the piece of metal with curious eyes.
It occurred to you that you had never seen her in action.
You frowned, "Why are you always awake?" you said, "Do you ever get tired?"
Kiyoko gave a short chuckle, "I do, but I sleep more in the day than in the night. Since you probably don't know, demons are only rampant at night."
You blinked a few times, "Really?"
She nodded, "They can't walk in the sun," she grinned a bit, "If you ever meet someone who's reluctant to step out in daylight, suspect them."
You frowned. As if? You would never let someone like that around you.
"Yorrichi-sama is already awake."
"Does he sleep?"
She chuckled, "Yes, yes he does."
You immediately pounced out of bed. You didn't want to keep him waiting for a long time. You had to get yourself ready and presentable, not to mention collecting all of your things.
"I suppose this is goodbye then."
She reached her hand out, "It was nice to see you again."
"Likewise," you said looking up at her, shaking it, "if you ever pass by my village, you should come say hi."
She smiled, "Of course."
And with that, you headed off on your journey. It took almost the entire day-with you retracing all the familiar areas, the bushes, trees, and lakes.
You left near early dawn and made it back just before the sun was setting.
Upon seeing the village entrance you turned to face Yoriichi.
"That was so much faster then the way there!"
He nodded, "It's usually faster on the way back."
"I was hoping it would take longer."
He tilted his head.
"I wanted to spend more time with you. I feel like..."
