Chapter 21 - My Most Precious Gift

Morning time/ In Office

The first thing Aashi did after coming in the office is knocked on Veer's cabin and after getting permission she entered in office. "Good morning, Veer" Aashi said with a brightest smile. "Good morning to you too, what's the matter Aashi you seem in a good mood" Veer said while taking a sip of coffee.

"Veer, by any chance are you free tomorrow or if you can manage few hours that will be also good, since it's a weekend" Aashi asked hesitantly, what if he deny, she thought. Veer looked at her confused.

"Yes, I don't have any urgent work tomorrow, just a few meetings but I can manage that. Tell me why you asked that" Veer replied while working on his laptop. "Actually I need a favor from you, will you help me Veer" Aashi asked while playing with her fingers and with hopeful eyes, Veer jsut looked at her and smiled slightly.

"Without a doubt, tell me with what you need my help" A smile appears on Aashi face, her face lighten up. "Actually my engagement has been fixed with Aryan, and I want to gift him something before our engagement, so will you help me to choose something for him"

After listening to Aashi, Veer's heart started clenching. He knew that he has to suffer this pain and he was even ready for that mentally, but now when it's actually happening, it's hard to hide his pain.

"But Aashi, I don't know anything about Aryan. I don't know about his likes or dislike, so how I'm going to help you in that" Veer was doubtful. "Don't worry about that, I have asked you specifically for a reason" Veer frowned his brows and asked "And what's that" he asked

"First of all, you both have same physics, so I don't have worry about size. Second, I have noticed that you and Aryan have similar taste in many things. So, I'm pretty much sure that whatever you'll choose, he will like it. hashtag problem solved".

"You're right on that, what I have liked for myself, he has already chosen that" Veer mumbled the last line looking at Aashi but Aashi couldn't hear that "What did you say?" Veer nodes his head in no and said "Nothing, tell me when I should pick you tomorrow" 

"I'll let you know, we will meet outside because it's a surprise for him" now Veer was smiling broadly "Aryan is so lucky to have you in his life" upon listening him Aashi nodes her head in no and said with a slight smile on her face "Ahhmm!, It's me who is lucky to have him as a life partner and friend like you in my life. Thank you Veer, for always being there for me. I wish that you will find your happiness"

By saying this Aashi left from Veer's Cabin. Rest of the day just went like that. now it was a new morning new day. Aashi got ready and come downstairs where her mom and dad were already waiting for her.

"Good morning princess" her dad greeted her and Aashi hugged her dad and greeted him back "Good morning to you too dad" her mom served breakfast and said "Aashi, are you going somewhere" her mom asked her after seeing her being all ready "Yes mamma, I have some plans with friends."

Aashi looked at her wristwatch and said "Oh my god, I'm already late" Aashi grabbed her purse and left after biding her goodbyes to her parents. when she opened her door she saw Aryan standing over there who was about to press the doorbell.

"Looks like my soon to be wife already knew that I'm coming to meet her" Aryan said with a grin on his face and quickly kissed on her cheek. "Aryan! what are you doing here" Aashi asked being all confuse. "What do you mean, of course I'm here to pick you up. we have a coffee date, did you forgot that or what"

After listening to him Aashi made a guilty face. "Oh shit!!," Aashi said covering her mouth in shock. "Wait, did you actually forget about it" Aryan made an unbelievable face and pouted.  "I'm so sorry Aaru, I don't know that how it skipped from my mind, but I promise that I'll make it up to you" she said while pleading him. "but for now I have to leave" by saying that she gave a peck on Aryan's cheek and left from there in hurry. "This girl" Aryan shakes his head and chuckled.
