Chapter 13 - Unpleasant Encounter

It's Monday today, and I have to leave for my first day in the office. To be honest, I was kinda nervous and excited at the same time. As I got ready, my mom called me downstairs for breakfast. I had my breakfast and my mom bid me goodbye. Soon I reached my office and Mahi introduced me to my colleagues and team. She is a really comfortable person to be around, even though I have met her twice only, I feel like she's already my friend not just my colleague. After introducing me with the team she left from there and I started my work.

Meanwhile in Veer's cabin

"Veer, the new join is here and she looks promising" Mahi said praising the unknown girl. "Cool!, just call her here, I'll also meet her" Veer said while working on his laptop. "Sure, gimme a minute" Mahi calls Aashi and asked her come in CEO's cabin.

After a few minutes Aashi came in Veer's cabin. She knocked on the door and Veer asked her to come in but he didn't saw her face as he was working on his laptop. But the moment Aashi saw Veer's face, her eyes widened and her mouth was wide open as if she got 440 volt electric shock. She immediately covered her face with file and turned back.

What the hell is he doing here. Don't tell me that he's my boss. No no no no no.... It can't be true. It's a total disaster. Am I going to be fired on my first day. She mumbled beneath while crying internally. Now Veer has shifted his gaze from his laptop to the girl who's back facing him.

"Excuse me miss..." Veer pause for a moment as he didn't knew Aashi name. " Aashi Malhotra" Mahi replied to Veer.

"Yes, so Miss Malhotra as a human being you would like to talk with a person rather than the door. Am I wrong? So instead of facing the door, turn around" his voice was firm and has command.

Aashi turned back but her face was still covered with the file she was holding to hide her face from Veer. She was sweating and prayed to almost every god that please don't let him remember there last encounter.

"Miss Malhotra, remove the fricking file from your face, I need to talk to you" his sounded a bit frustrated now. "Sirrrr.... Actually.... Actually sir... I have a lot pimples on my face so I'm embarrassed to show my face to you. But I'm fine like this. You can ask me whatever you want to ask me" 

"No, not at all. You have smooth skin like milk. Why're you lying. Look, I may have told you about him being strict, but he doesn't lash out on someone without reason, and of course he doesn't have a reason to be angry with you because you guys haven't even met yet." Mahi said looking at Aashi while laughing. He have a very big reason Mahi mam, you just don't know yet, Aashi thought while giving Mahi a faint smile.

"Excuse me Miss Malhotra I don't have all day here, I have to attends the meeting also" Veer told Aashi with bit frustrated voice, while tapping his fingers on his table, so eventually Aashi has to remove file from her face but her eyes were not facing him.

"YOU .... What the hell are you doing here" Veer said looking straight into Aashi's eyes. "You guys know each other?" Mahi asked, being totally confused about the situation.

"Very well, don't we.... Miss coffee spiller" Veer said in a mocking tone. "What?" Mahi asked.  

"Nothing Mahi, just give us a moment" Veer said and Mahi nodded her head and left from there, leaving scared Aashi behind. 

Aashi's POV

After Mahi left Veer's Cabin. He stood up from his seat and started coming towards me slowly and I started walking backward slowly. Veer had a mischievous smirk on his face and I was hella nervous. He was standing in front of me just a few inches away. He bent down a little so that he can see directly in my eyes. His smirk didn't fade away, his hands were in his pocket.
