"I know you did it."
"Did what babe?"
"You attack Chloe."
"What? Why would I do that?" I stood up and went to put my plate in the sink...How does he know all this? Or maybe he was testing me.
"Woman you look at me when I talk to you!" He walked towards me,then I turned to look at him. "You'll have to tell me what really happened."
"I didn't do it...why would I try to kill my friend Marcus?"
"Thandeka, I know you found out that I cheated on you with her, now I had to go back to that place to make sure you didn't leave any evidence."
"Okay, fine! Fine! I did it. How would she? Why would she betray me."
"Why didn't you ask me what happened? Remember you left here saying you needed Chloe to help you out with the baby's stuff then next thing she's attacked."
"I couldn't help it but overhear them arguing... Chloe and Chris, Chris was so mad. I stood at their door step and  listen to everything. When Chris got outside, I managed to hid by the tree next to the garage so that he could not see me. I waited for a while, thinking if I should call you and ask you about it but I wanted to confront her. I wouldn't have done it...her attitude and she was not remorseful so she pushed me." Tears filled in my eyes,"I didn't mean to kill the baby, it was an accident."
"Don't worry babe...I got you. Nobody is gonna find out about it, you are so fortunate that Chloe cannot remember anything. Just continue to be supportive then she'll never even suspect you."
"Thank you love."
"I booked a restaurant, I want us to go out and I asked Chloe to look after Thobile and she agreed. She said it would help her to get her mind of this situation so we should do it often."
"Whatever you think will work babe... let's do it."
"I love you." He kissed my forehead then squeezed me in his arms.
