I wanted to get this chapter done and out so much sooner. Just been too busy lately. Been a while since I had a weekend where I wasn't busy af. I hope everyone who loved the last chapter finds their way here to this one.
The many bus loads worth of students who had participated in the exam once again stood gathered in one area. Only this time, they had all changed back into their respective school uniforms. "Anyway, the names of those who passed are listed here in alphabetical order. Keep my words in mind as you search the screen for your name." Mera said. He then pressed a button and the gigantic screen before us displayed dozens of names.
"Wow. A lot of people passed." Shoji said, looking. The search was now on for everyone's names!
"Where the hell is it?!" Bakugo screamed.
'Izuku Midoriya... I passed! I did it, All Might!' Izuku thought, in shock and awe!
'Come on! Come on! (gasps deeply)... My name! I see it!' Y/N thought, mouth agape.
"I'm up there! Just call me a hero!" Mineta screamed.
"I did it." Jiro muttered, relieved.
"There I am." Iida noticed.
"All right." Shoji said.
"I'm on the board!" Uraraka chanted.
"Thank goodness!" Sero said, finding his name. Meanwhile Tokoyami did nodded his head in content, having passed as well.
"What a relief." Ojiro said, wiping the sweat from his brow.
"Magnificent!" Aoyama cheered.
"Heck yeah, I did it!" Sato said.
"Yeeeaaahhh!" Ashido raved.
"Another small step toward being a pro." Yaoyorozu said, smiling.
"Ribbit." Tsu said, looking pleased.
"I passed! I passed!" Hagakure yelled out.
"Killed it!" Kaminari said, giving a thumbs up.
"Right on! But, uhhh..." Kirishima struggled. While he had indeed found his own name, it had become obvious that Bakugo still hadn't. He once again looked the screen up and down, with a distraught and angry expression.
"NO!" Bakugo raged, in disbelief. But he wasn't alone. Nearby, Todoroki's head appeared to sink down, in abject failure. As Izuku noticed, he wondered exactly how he could comfort Todoroki, if at all.
'He failed...?' Izuku thought, surprised.
"Todoroki!" Inasa suddenly called. He approached his rival, towering over him with a stern expression. Then he bowed hard, slamming his own head into the ground! "I'm sorry! It's my fault that you didn't pass the Licensing Exam. My focus was too narrow-minded. Forgive me!" Inasa said, genuinely.
"You're fine. I was the one who got us off to a bad start." Todoroki replied, regretfully.
"But..." Inasa began.
"And thanks to the things you said to me, I have a lot to think about." Todoroki interrupted.
"Holy crap. Did he really fail?" Ashido said, shocked.
"How could our top two classmates not pass the exam?" Sero muttered.
'It's no surprise to me. Bakugo's too antagonistic for rescue ops. And Todoroki was on the ground, by the time I arrived. So, he clearly wasn't doing so well that last round... Not that I'm gonna tell the others that...' Y/N thought.
