Later that evening, Taehyung had organized a pre-engagement party at their shared home, and everyone was eagerly looking forward to the celebration.

Jungkook stood by the snack table, trying to distract himself with food preparations. Jimin sidled up next to him, nudging him with a playful grin. “So, how’s it feel, Kookie? Our Taehyungie’s the first one to get engaged!”

Jungkook forced a laugh. “Surreal. Never thought Tae would beat us to it.”

Nearby, Yoongi was pouring drinks while Moni helped set up decorations. Suga turned to Ria with a teasing smile. “You really managed to capture our bandmate’s heart. How did you do it?”

Ria blushed, looking down at her hands. “I guess it just happened,” she said softly.

Hoseok joined in, chuckling. “You must have some magic, Ria. Tae was always the one we thought would be last to settle down!”

Taehyung, overhearing the conversation, wrapped his arms around Ria from behind, grinning widely. “What can I say? She’s special.”

Namjoon raised his glass, a smirk playing on his lips. “A toast to our Taehyung, the first to fall. Let’s hope he sets a good example for the rest of us!”

The room filled with laughter and cheers as they clinked their glasses. Jungkook raised his reluctantly, his smile not quite reaching his eyes. He found himself stealing glances at Ria throughout the night, struggling to act normal despite the turmoil in his heart.

Throughout the night, the BTS members made it their mission to tease Taehyung mercilessly. Jin approached Ria, winking. “You know, you’re the reason Taehyung’s become so responsible. He’s even started doing his laundry without being asked!”

Ria giggled, glancing at Taehyung, who was blushing furiously. “Is that so? Well, I’m glad I could help.”

Jungkook, despite his internal turmoil, couldn’t help but be swept up in the infectious joy of his friends. He watched as Moni and Ria danced together, their laughter ringing through the room. Yoongi and Namjoon were deep in conversation about their next album, while Hoseok and Jin were in a heated debate over the best flavor of ice cream.

As the night went on, Jungkook found himself relaxing, enjoying the lively atmosphere. Taehyung’s happiness was evident in every smile and laugh, and even though it hurt, Jungkook was determined to be there for his friend.

At one point, Taehyung pulled Ria into the center of the room, holding her close as they danced to a slow song. The other members cheered and clapped, Jimin and Jungkook joining in with wolf whistles.

“You two look perfect together,” Moni said, her eyes twinkling with affection for her best friend.

“Thanks, Moni,” Ria replied, her eyes never leaving Taehyung’s.

Jungkook stood on the sidelines, watching them dance. He caught Moni’s eye, and she gave him a sympathetic smile. Despite everything, the bond between the BTS members remained unbreakable, and tonight was a celebration of that unity.

As the evening drew to a close, Taehyung made a small speech, thanking everyone for coming and expressing his gratitude for their support. “You guys are my family,” he said, his voice thick with emotion. “I wouldn’t be here without you.”

The room erupted in applause, and Jungkook felt a surge of pride for his friend. No matter the heartache he felt, he knew that Taehyung deserved every bit of happiness.

They had group hug, all the members crowding around Taehyung and Ria, laughter and joy filling the room. Jungkook found himself caught in the middle, and for a moment, he allowed himself to forget the pain, focusing instead on the love and camaraderie that bound them all together.
