Spring 5th - Continued

As quickly as the heads snapped to see Wren, they all returned to their own tables, trying not to stare at the new farmer. With a deep breath, she slowly made her way up to the bar, unsure of what to do with her hands.

"Welcome, Farmer! What can I get you?" A short man said from behind the bar. "Well um, what do you have?" Wren responded, wishing she'd snagged a menu before hand. "Well, your options are Beer, Wine, Coffee. We keep it simple over here." He winked playfully. Without her answering, a tall, blue haired woman swooped in from behind the bar, setting a pint of beer in front of Wren.

"Don't stress her out too much, Gus!" The girl nudged Gus, who smiled back at her "By Yoba, you're out for my job!" He threw his hands up while laughing, before heading to greet a woman at the end of the bar. "This one's on the house, my names Emily." The woman smiled back.

"Oh, well, thank you! I'm Wren, the new farmer." Wren took a sip of the delightfully refreshing drink in front of her.

"I know! I had a feeling you'd be here tonight, I guess I could sense you!" Emily cheerfully replied. "Good to know I'm welcome then!" Wren smiled back at her. As she glanced over her shoulder, she saw into a second room, complete with a leather couch and a billiards table, and two young men - they have to be Sebastian and Sam. As she glanced at the blob that nearly took her out earlier, she caught his gaze that was already fixed onto her. As their eyes met, he quickly snapped his attention back to his friend.

Yoba, was he cute.

Not just cute, but handsome. His blonde hair shot up, leaving one perfectly place piece to hang over his forehead. His brown- no, green- Hazel? Grey? Whatever color eyes radiated kindness and energy, while his tall and broad sature made him stick out among the rest. He wore a dark blue jean jacket over a white tee, with brown work pants and red sneakers. She couldn't quite tell from where she sat, but she swore she could see an eyebrow piercing.

She quickly looked away before he could catch her staring. Does she go over and introduce herself? She is there to hangout with Abby and them, but do they even know she's coming?

Feeling infinitely more awkward, shet took a long swig of her beer, and turned back to Emily. "I love your hair color! Do you do it yourself?"

As the two chatted, she could see the tall blond glancing at her out of the corner of her eye, his staring lingering longer and longer each time. She fought the urge to meet it, looking up at the clock, wondering if Abby had stood her up.

9:15. Only 15 minutes late. Maybe her dad is lecturing her? Maybe she's just taking awhile to get ready? While Wren contemplates how long is an appropriate time to wait before just going home, she catches a glimpse of movement beside her. The tall blonde is walking towards her.

As she is about to turn her frame and greet him, a figure slides into the seat next to her. "Good evening, Miss Vale." A man with long, red hair offers a half smile. "Oh, Hi!" She stammered, caught off guard by an another unexpected introduction. As she can now see the tall blonde in full view, he's waving over Gus, who hands him another beer. He turns, returning to the other room without a glance towards Wren.

She felt slightly embarrassed that she thought he was approaching her, and suddenly felt an insecurity that she hasn't felt since leaving the city.

"My name is Elliott, I'm what some would call a hermit... I live in the cabin, by the beach." The stranger - Elliott - snapped her back into reality.
