Natasha was only 22 years old when she married Dhawal Makwana, the brother of the rich businessman, Amrish Makwana. She had originally refused the marriage, but her extended family had put pressure on her Daama, and then she agreed as she didn't want her Daama to answer her extended family. But she didn't know that Dhawal was only marrying her as a way to get Pandya Store.
Dhawal was a little older than Natasha. He was a senior when Natasha joined the college. And now that Natasha was a senior, he had graduated, and he had been working building up his business for a couple of years now. Amrish had gifted him money to start a business, and told him that he had 5 years to make his business a sucess otherwise he would be Amrish's company as an employee. Dhawal agreed and started his business. As his business was now becoming a success, Amrish then decided it was time to get married, and he chose Natasha Pandya as his bride, and he agreed to the alliance.
A month after the marriage, Amrish showed his true colors to Natasha when he ordered her to give Pandya Store to him. Natasha looked towards Dhawal, and he looked towards the ground, not meeting her eyes.
Natasha looked at Dhawal in shock, "You never loved me. This was a bloody deal to you, wasn't it?"
Dhawal admitted, "Yes. I never loved you. I married you because Mots asked me. You weren't real for me, nor the marriage. But now, it matters. You matter. This marriage matters."
This had broken Natasha, but before she could do anything, she got a call from Mithu.
"What! Sorry, Mithu, I was distracted." yelled Natasha "Mithu, slow down. I can't understand you? What! Which hospital. Ok. I will meet you guys there. And stop crying. I will be there shortly!" Natasha hung up the phone. Natasha was rushing out the door when Dhawal grabbed her arm.
"What's going on, Natasha? Who's in the hospital?" asked Dhawal.
"Daama. Now let go!" As she pulled her arm out of his grip and rushed out.
"What the hell did you do that for? I didn't even broach the subject with her, and now she hates me!" yelled Dhawal as he too rushed after Natasha.
Even though Natasha tried to refuse Dhawal's help, Dhawal made sure the best doctors were called and medicine was delivered for Daama. Daama was slowly recovering, while Natasha stayed with her Daama in the hospital.
Dhawal had asked Natasha to come home the day before Daama was released, and she had refused. But after Daama was released, she kept on asking when Natasha was going back to her inlaws, making Natasha scared and frustrated. Finally, she decided to go back to her inlaws house.
Natasha had come home a couple of days after Daama came home from the hospital. Sheesh and Mithu promised to take care of Daama and make sure she was stress free.
Natasha had promised Amrish that she would sign over the shop if she could come back to Makwana house, as she didn't want her Daama to have another setback. The heart attack almost killed her, and if she knew what happened between Natasha and the Makwanas, it might kill her. Natasha will do anything to keep her Daama alive.
The morning after Natasha had returned, Amrish called every to the living room where he made an showed the ladies what was expected of them since they were ignoring the rules of the house.
"This is the Makwana house, and for you ladies, this is the last warning. I have been too relaxed with you all, and you have made a mockery of my rules. But no longer. Once you are married into the Makwana family, you become the Makwana family. You have no other family but the Makwana family. Your maternal family is forgotten and disowned. They don't visit, nor do we visit unless I say it is so. Understand."
