"UGH, I'm sick of this already." The voice of Elliot rasped, his hand rubbing his face — they had just finished second period.

"Oh shush, it's only the first day. At what time did you go to sleep?" Cassia looked toward Elliot, she could see the dark circles under his eyes, and that already told her it was no wear near before curfew.

"3 AM." And of course, she was right.

"Oh, gosh." The brunette chuckled, softly shaking her head, keeping her sight in front of her.

The two stood in front of the lockers, they had finished with their first two periods, and from what Cassia knew, she had, had them with Elliot — obviously— Mal, Jane, and Carlos.

She still didn't have any with the rest of her friends, which she hoped she did.

And since it was Monday, they had a free period that followed before lunch — thankfully — though they had an unscheduled every day, just at different times. So it didn't make any difference.

Cassia closed her locker leaving her books inside, the two of them walked toward the garden's benches where the rest of the AKs — and now VKs — were spending their time. The brunette realized how most of the VKs were flooding each other with food as they tried the variety of desserts and specials of the day.

Cassia felt sympathy for them, knowing that they never had fresh food, until now.

"Hi, guys!" The blue-haired girl, Evie, greeted Elliot and Cassia, who sat in front of the core four — and Doug — smiling. "How was your summer?! You have to give all details."

"Well—" The brunette sighed, she didn't have much to say, "I didn't do much, I just spent most of my time with my dad." She spoke the truth with a small smile.

Everyone's sight moved to Elliot, "Well, my dad took me everywhere where he stole in Corona." He spoke proudly, raising his eyebrows with a smirk.

"If I was still into stealing I would've asked for you to invite me next time," Jay spoke in banter making Elliot smirk even more, as they both knew those days for Jay were long gone.

The group watched as Jane approached the table with a tray of fruit, she smiled in greet as she sat down next to Carlos, who immediately welcomed her with a kiss on the cheek.

"How is everyone's first day going?" Evie asked the group, her hands on her chin as both her elbows rested on the wooden table for support.
