31 | DANCE LESSONS
"COME on Harry, it's not that hard." The voice of Elliot rang through Harry's ear for the hundredth time during the hour.
"Then yeh do it!" Not retaining his anger back Harry burst. He had been having enough. "Clearly yeh know."
And as if challenged, Elliot walked closer to the boy, his head high. "That's because I do. And it wouldn't make sense if I dance because right again, I know how to."
Harry had been struggling.
A lot.
But it wasn't his fault. So many steps felt like a riddle he couldn't decipher. And let's not talk about the dose of times he has stepped on Evie's shoes. Harry was convinced he couldn't dance, but yet he still tried.
"It's simply moving back and forth. Just like fighting, I guess." Evie tried to place it in words the pirate could relate to. His eyes showed that it assumably worked.
When Elliot asked Evie for the huge favor, of course, the girl wasn't going to say no. She out of people wanted Cassia and Harry to happen, and him not being able to dance wasn't going to be an obstacle. But she never thought it would be this hard to get him to stick to something.
Though she understood him. It was new to him and he just needed practice to crack it into his skull.
Internally, Harry groaned when he heard the music once more. It made his ears bleed from the amount of times he had to listen to the same song over and over. He would certainly have a music worm at the end of the day. Something that didn't sound appealing at all.
"Remember, the hand goes on her waist and the other holds her hand." Elliot watched Harry roll his eyes, from getting sick of his redundant words. "Posture, Harr."
The pirate glared at the boy from the nickname. Watching how the son of Rapunzel smirked knowing he wouldn't do anything in the moment. Continuing his moves, Harry turned back to Evie. With his hand on her back and the other holding her hand. Endless footsteps dragged them across the floor, with a constant glance from Harry's part, to their feet.
"Keep your eyes up." Elliot scolded coming up from behind them.
"I don't wanna step on her." Harry retorted as he brought his head up. Not forgetting to give another famous glare to the boy.
" Yeah, listen to him on this one, Eli." With a huff, Harry looked at Evie blubbering ahead of him.
Not having any words, Elliot moved over leaving the pair to be. With his eyes still attached to the pirate just to keep an eye out for any missteps. He could've told the pirate to picture Evie as Cassia, but for some reason, he figured it wouldn't work. If anything, why would it probably have made him even more nervous?
Nonetheless, Harry was starting to do better. His steps were becoming one and smooth with his companion. Gliding softly with the rhythm of the beats and fastly with the cue. The girl with blue hair just hoped her pain was paying enough for the brunette in the future.
Evie was walking so Cassia could run.
"There ya go!" Elliot clapped. It somewhat brought some sort of relief mixed with pride to the pirate. His head coming high right after. "Lose the grin, Hook."
Of course, Elliot had noticed it, and a grin of his own carved onto his lips from feeling proud. Watching how Harry distanced his body from Evie to give a spin, Elliot raised his brow in amazement. To say he was a bit surprised by how better he had gotten in the last hour.
Piping up, Evie looked at Harry, "You're gonna let me do your suit right?" Her glance stayed connected with the pirates, him staying focused.
"Does my answer even matter," His accent glided with every word. A small roll of his eyes showed after Evie smiled at him. "Of course."
Evie once more spun before coming back, "Why even ask?" She gifted the pirate an arched brow. One that showed her enthusiasm.
Upon hearing this, Elliot guided himself closer to the pair, "Yup. There's no escaping her fashionable claws." A wink is sent to Elliot from Evie's part at the comment he released. The boy smirked at the gesture.
"Ye're gonna make me look good for her?" Harry turned his attention to the girl with blue hair, ignoring the brunette with green eyes. And watching Evie nod.
"The best there's gonna be." She nodded in all positiveness.
Harry agreed to her words. Trusting her was all he could do. And he did because he had seen some of her looks over in the Isle. She was the most fashionable person there before the core four left.
Upon the song coming to an end, the moves of Harry and Evie did as well. The two of them momentarily stopped ahead of each other. With his eyes ahead of him, Harry released Evie's hand stepping back and waiting for Elliot to release his remark.
"Nice job, Harr." By now Harry knew the boy was calling him that on purpose. And he was right, for Elliot released a small grin after.
"Lose the grin, golden retriever." The pirate snapped. "Or ye'll end walking the plank." He used his father's famous quote, by now his favorite one. Finding it rather threatening.
Elliot chuckled, him finding it funny. Placing his hands in surrender with a small step back, he watched Harry roll his eyes. Evie did so as well as she watched the stupid little banter from the boys. She cleared her throat ready to speak.
"So is that good?" She glanced at Elliot for him to look at her. The eyes of the son of Rapunzel doing as asked when he removed his sight from Harry.
"Yeah, I think so." He nodded, "Unless my friend over here forgets."
Harry puffed at the sound, "I won't." He took it as an offense.
Once more, Elliot nodded at the words of the pirate, his eyes going over toward his as he smirked. Harry watching this grumbled before walking toward where he had left his hook. He seriously hated how comfortable the boy was getting with him. Elliot's voice covered his eardrums once more.
"But you know, maybe we should continue the practice until the dance." He voiced in a suggested tone, "You know to get better and so you don't forget. Even though you say you won't."
Harry looked at the son of Rapunzel, his nose releasing air, "Fine."
"Two times a week?" Elliot suggested. With his eyes flickering between the two.
"Yeah," Evie remarked with Harry nodding at her verbal word.
He had two weeks. Two weeks to strengthen his dancing skills. Following right after he yet needed to ask the girl. Oh, boy. It was going to be a piece of cake, no?
