34 | A FINAL ATTEMPT TO HOMECOMING WITH 5 DAYS

THIS one had to be the one. Nothing would get in his way, and if someone tried to, he was convinced he would be throwing them off the plank.

Harry had been rehearsing what he would be saying to the girl, and finding ways to catch her in a place where they wouldn't be interrupted. He didn't want to make the same mistake and wait for her in the halls.

Maybe it was creepy to be following her, but it had left him no choice. As he did, he noticed how Cassia walked into the library. It was perfect, no one could interrupt them and it was quiet enough for him to whisper and be heard.

The brunette stopped at a bookshelf, her eyes scanning the rows that were filled with all kinds of different spines of knowledge. Harry halted far away from her, taking a step behind a bookshelf to hide.

He never thought he would step into a library, but here he was.

He just had to do it. And Harry wasn't as nervous as last time, he only had to say the words. Simple as that, and with no interruptions, at least he hoped.

Taking a breath, he began to walk over toward the girl who remained looking around the lined-up books. Her eyes didn't take him in, so Harry had to clear his throat for her to see.

"Oh. Hi, Harry. It's surprising to see you... here." The brunette offered a small genuine smile, her hands coming to a stop on the corners of the shelves.

"Yeh, it's huge in here." Harry couldn't help but look around at the thousands of books everywhere.

"Yeah, most of these were Belle's books." Cassia laughed as she glanced around as well.

Harry's sight flickered over toward the girl, watching her admired around. Not attempting to hide his smile, it grew carving on his lips. She looked gorgeous. However, his attention got caught when he remembered what he originally came for.

Clearing his throat he spoke again, "Right, I need to ask yeh something." He straightens his posture, the girl slightly widening her eyes.

"Oh, sure."

Anxiety grew within the brunette. Her brain immediately started to bombard her with the thoughts of Harry trying to ask her again to be his date for the dance.

"Would you maybe want to..." Harry trailed off, his eyes getting lost in Cassia's, but he had to focus. "Maybe go to the—"

"Yes." Not even bothering to wait for Harry to finish, Cassia answered.
