27 | MOVIE NIGHT
EVIE'S castle was enough for the twelve - total - VK's and AK's. The girl with blue hair had set up everything in the living room. A blanket for anyone who wanted to sit on the ground, and tons of snacks.
"Wow, you outdid yourself, E." Mal looked around, everything was placed so nicely. "Nice job."
Evie sighed, "Thank you, M." She released a squeal reaching for her spot on the ground.
Cassia looked around watching the huge couch be untouched. And as if minds were connected, or on purpose, Harry took his spot next to the girl. Originally being Elliot's spot, but the son of Rapunzel doing his job of wingman he gave it to the pirate.
Cassia glanced toward Harry, only gifting him a smile. While Harry glanced at Elliot, who gave the boy a discreet wink and a thumbs-up. The pirate only frowned with a smile on his lips.
"So, what are we watching?" Cassia asked, hands clapping on her thighs.
"I was thinking of a rom-com," Evie turned her sight to the group. "So, 10 Things I Hate About You. And I'm the host so no backsies." Cassia looked at Evie with a tilted head.
Right, a rom-com. Didn't sound planned at all.
"What even is it about?" Uma Inquired. She sat on the ground next to Mal, who had her head resting on Ben's legs.
"A rich girl that meets your typical bad boy," Cassia explained what she knew. Usual opposites attract situations.
She remembered she watched it once, not fully remembering half of the movie now. It had been a long time ago, so she needed a refresher.
"That's it?" The girl with cyan hair raised a brow, seeming to not be very interested.
"Yeah." Evie nodded.
"Okay." Jay shrugged, his answer gaining a couple of nods around from the group.
Moving forward with it, Evie placed the disk in the DVD player, scooting back toward Doug. The lights were off, the dimmed brightness of the TV being the only thing that shined the room.
Cassia fidgetting on her spot, in an attempt to get more comfortable.
Meanwhile, Harry gazed over toward her, watching how she softly bit the inside of her lip. Causing the skin to look hollow. His eyes moved to the TV seeing how the girl - Katarina showed on the screen.
"Okay, it's starting," Evie announced, her voice appearing muffled.
Watching the screen lit up, Cassia shifted in her spot on the couch. She could feel the body heat of Harry right next to her. If he could get any closer, he would. Cassia tried to keep her gaze on the screen, trying not to turn anywhere else, but the way that she could simply feel him did something to her.
She felt her magic move meaning her eyes were going to glow any moment.
Why now!
She attempted to scoot any closer to the end of the couch from where she was, but she already was. Harry was just simply keeping her on the edge, where all his body was on her. He loved this. She was feeling tormented.
"Anyone wants juice?" Evie kindly asked, her eyes glancing between Harry and Cassia on the couch and on the ones on the floor.
"Me." Harry and Cassia spoke at the same time, both glancing at each other before the brunette slouched in her spot on the couch.
Evie giggled, reaching for two cups before grabbing the juice and pouring a bit into them. Passing them back, Cassia grabbed both since she was closer, and when she gave Harry his she felt how their fingers touched.
"Thank yeh, Cassia." He murmured between the two. It felt so weird hearing her actual name come out of his lips.
She was used to hearing Princess or Cassie by now.
"Mhm." She hummed in response.
As Cassia looked back at the screen, Harry continued to look at the girl. His lips were on the cup, growing a smirk with his vision on her. With every moment that passed, Cassia and Harry glared at each other.
She could feel how he kept his eyes on her occasionally, and this would cause her to glance his way. But every time that she would look his way, it was Harry's cue to look away. And he was smooth with it.
One time she caught him, "Do I have something on my face, Harry?" She whispered, her head turning toward him.
"Mm-mm," He shook his head, denying.
It was so quiet Evie's sudden high-pitched squeal caused the brunette to jolt her body at the sound making her come in contact with Harry's bicep.
"Easy, lass,"' Harry's hot breath hit her cheek, "I'm not going anywhere." This was when Cassia noticed she was gripping his arm.
Cassia's eyes guided themselves around the area of his arm, all the way to his face. Feeling the warmth grow from her neck to her ears she let go.
Whispering, the girl kept her eyes on Harry, "I'm sorry," She pulled her hands away.
"All alright," He smirked with a whisper.
Harry hissed at the feeling of his fingertips on his cup. Both of their eyes going over to the cup in Harry's grip, it was perplexing what they were seeing. The cup was now frozen.
"I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that." Cassia apologized once more. Her words stuttered with the confusion she grew within.
Her mind running on miles per second, the thoughts filling her mind. She almost hurt Harry with her powers, meaning he wasn't going to talk to her anymore. Meaning he wasn't going to go near her anymore. Her brain was piling up with overthinking thoughts that were exaggerating.
The pirate not saying anything placed the cup on the counter Evie had next to the couch. He could feel her embarrassment grow and that's why he decided to not mention it or say anything. His answer was only followed by a small shake of the head with a smile.
At that moment, Cassia could feel her heart grow warm, and watching how he stayed in his spot. Maybe it was a simple action, but other people would've made it a big deal. Not being able to contain her emotions, she let them go.
And with her heart beating out of her chest, all she could do was stare back at the screen.
