42 | THE BOYS ARE BACK
"OKAY, can yeh please focus here?" The words of Harry made Elliot roll his eyes. "Or do ya want me to bring the thugs on your arse?"
Elliot's eyes widened in shock, turning over to Harry. With amusement, mouth opened wide he flipped the pirate off.
"Did yeh just?" Harry laughed, somewhat surprised by the boy's actions.
Though he knew right now he had the chance to do so because Cassia wasn't here to hold him back.
"Really? The thugs? That's where you wanna go, Harold?" Ignoring his previous statement, Elliot asked.
"Aye, don't call me that." The pirate points his finger at the boy, seriousness taking over, and Elliot smirking. "Now, can yeh please help me?"
Walking over toward his bed, Elliot nodded letting his body weight land on the mattress and Harry followed up behind him. He grabbed a chair setting it up backwards to sit on it.
"So what do you want to know?" The green-eyed boy rested his arms behind his head, arms flexing their muscles.
"Jus' give me ideas." Harry motioned his hand.
Elliot stayed quiet for a moment, thinking and tapping his finger on his chin. Movements of his head with every idea that popped into his mind were delivered until he thought of something.
"Ariel and Eric? A boat in the lake doesn't sound bad." He spilled the idea shrugging calmly.
Harry tilted his head toward the side squinting his eyes at the thought. It didn't sound like a bad idea, but the guy didn't want the boat to take a wrong turn. Or the Gods forbid the both of them to fall into the lake and end up soaking.
"No." He denied it.
"Library date? Take it back a notch to the Belle and Beast days." Another idea popped into the son of Rapunzel's mind.
Though Harry didn't find it very appealing. "What are yeh trying to say?" His offense grew watching how the boy giggled. "And do yeh want her to fall asleep in the middle of it?"
"My bad, my bad." Elliot brought his hands up in surrender."You know, you can surprise her with lanterns." He shrugged.
"Lanterns?" Harry jerked his head back, somewhat confused. "And where am I gonna get those?" He sassed squinting his eyes.
"Lights that float?" Elliot sassed back in energy. Motioning his hand in the air, the boy looked at the pirate ahead of him. "Do you forget who my mom is? We have this annual lantern festival in Corona, we have thousands of them. I can just ask."
Harry had heard about how the boy's mother had found them fascinating from a young age. Also how the whole reason his mother and father became a thing was because Rapunzel originally was using Eugene to get to see the lights.
He guessed it had its outcomes.
Harry thought of this. One light looking into another light, that sounded pretty good. Maybe he could even add something else.
"I like it. And do yeh think I can do like a wee picnic?" That sounded like a promising idea.
"Yeah." Raising his brows, Elliot nodded. "Sounds nice."
"I know it does." The pirate smirked as the other boy rolled his eyes.
Harry had to figure out how to set up the picnic, and maybe he could use Evie's help for that. Maybe both Evie's and Elliot's, as much help as he could get. He wasn't very organized, and he needed people that were.
"Okay, I can call my mom and ask for a few. But I am going to need help lighting them up so I'm gonna have to call the others. Maybe Mal can use a spell to light them up all at once." Elliot pulled out his phone, typing something on it.
"You know, I thought I would never say this but..." Harry stopped for a dramatic effect. "Ye're a genius."
The boy snickered, "I've been told." And he shrugged nonchalantly.
Harry rolled his eyes at the comment. His arms remained steady on the top rail, them constantly moving causing it to flex the muscles of his forearms. His teeth bit the soft inside tissue of his upper lip, and Elliot watched how he was getting deep in thought.
"You okay in there big boy?" He gave him a soft kick with his foot.
"Huh? Yeh— Yeh. I'm fine." He cleared his throat. "Just hoping this goes good, ya know what I mean?" He accented. Elliot nodded at his words.
"Yeah, and it will. Don't think too much about it."
Though his words said one thing it was easier said than done, and Harry wouldn't stop thinking about it. He was a tough head. His mind wouldn't stop lingering about it, and he was starting to question if he was even a good guy for the girl.
"I know what you're thinking," Elliot spoke with his eyes still on his phone.
"Huh?" The pirate gave him a confused look.
"You're thinking you're not a good guy for her." He turned off the device and looked at Harry.
Shaking his head to deny it, the son of Hook closed his eyes. "I'm not—"
"I'm a guy, Harry." Elliot nodded. "Us guys begin to question if we're good enough for a girl after we finally get the chance we've been dreaming of. But trust me when I tell you you're a great guy for her. You're determined."
"You're just saying that 'cause you're me friend." Harry passed his hand through his hair looking away from Elliot.
"No. I'm saying that because it's the facts. This is the happiest I've seen her ever since we met. And lucky for you I've known her for a long time." The blue of Harry's eyes was brought over toward the green of his friend's.
Harry smiled at the thought of him being one of the reasons why the girl was happy. And it's crazy to believe it so, she grew up in bore-adon and had family and friends that loved her by her side. And to say Harry made her the happiest?
The pirate couldn't believe it but it made him happy to think so.
"Stop smiling you'll scare the misses away." The boy threw a pillow at the pirate, who was fast enough to stop it with his hand.
"Yeh little—" He threw the pillow back at the green-eyed boy.
"Oh, by the way. What was that you called me? Your friend?" He emphasized the last syllable slowly and teasingly. Elliot knew it would bother Harry.
"Don't get used to it." Harry narrowed his eyes softly.
The son of Rapunzel laughed keeping the pillow in his grip. He knew deep down Harry appreciated him as much as he did. He never had a brother, so he considered Harry one. And he would do anything for him if he asked him to, or if he had to.
