Everyday when I go out for work, my mom chants a prayer dedicated to the Goddess of Durga also known as the destroyer of evil.
She tells me to be safe, to come home quickly, to not be out till late...
I imagine her mother would have also done the same when she must have gone out that day...
Nirbhaya
Bilkis bano
Hathras
Kathua gang rape
Shaki milis
And now Abhaya

And they ask us why are we so insecure?
Thousands of women protesting in the rain, fighting to reclaim the night...

Angry women will change the world
I am glad my doctor friends have stopped their duties and have gone out to protest for justice...
But I still think justice is a pretty fancy word.
Because I don't trust the lawmakers, the police, the politicians or any of the motherfuckers who sit on the thrones of taxpayers money...
None of them can provide justice.
We women must take it to our hands.
We must reclaim the night.
"Women reclaim the night"
"Women, life freedom"
