Days turned into weeks, and my time in Damian's twisted care became an unbearable routine. He maintained his facade of normalcy, cooking meals, reading to me, and even taking me out on occasional walks around the mansion grounds.

Each day, my desperation for escape grew stronger.

Keep calm.

Stay focused.

Watch for any opportunity.

One evening, after another disturbingly pleasant dinner, Damian decided to have a "heart-to-heart" conversation. He sat down across from me, his eyes filled with an unsettling mix of affection and intensity.

"You know," he began, his voice calm and composed, "I've been thinking a lot about our future together."

Here we go.

Another one of his delusions.

I stared at him, my heart pounding in my chest. "Our future?"

"Yes," he said, leaning forward. "I know this isn't the most conventional start to a relationship, but I believe we can make it work. We just need to take it one step at a time."

He's trying to lure me into his world.

Make me believe his insanity is normal.

He paused, studying my reaction. I forced myself to remain still, trying to hide the turmoil inside me.

What does he want from me now?

"Have you ever thought about marriage?" he asked, his tone almost casual.

Marriage?

Is he serious?

My breath caught in my throat. "Marriage?"

He nodded, a dreamy look in his eyes.

"Yes. I believe we could have a beautiful life together. A home, a family... everything we've always wanted."

How can he talk about marriage after everything he's done?

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This man, who had kidnapped me and held me captive, was now talking about marriage as if it were the most natural thing in the world. My mind raced, searching for a response that wouldn't set him off.

Play along, buy time.

Maybe I can find a way out.

"Damian," I began carefully, "don't you think this is... a bit rushed? I mean, we've only just..."

His expression darkened slightly, and I quickly changed tack.

"I mean, wouldn't it be better to get to know each other first? To... understand each other better?"

What does he want to hear?

How can I make him believe I'm on his side?

He smiled, the darkness in his eyes dissipating. "Of course, darling. That's exactly what I want. To know everything about you, and for you to know everything about me."

He's deluded, but I have to play along.

Act like I'm falling for his lies.

He reached out and took my hand, his grip gentle but firm. "I know it might be hard for you to see it now, but I love you. And I believe, in time, you'll come to love me too."

I felt a shiver run down my spine. The depth of his delusion was terrifying. This man was mentally gone, living in a fantasy where our twisted relationship made perfect sense.

"Damian," I said softly, trying to keep my voice steady, "I... I need time to process all of this. It's a lot to take in."

He nodded, his smile widening. "Of course, take all the time you need. I'm not going anywhere, and neither are you."

His words are a threat disguised as reassurance.

His words were a chilling reminder of my captivity. I forced a smile, hoping to placate him.

"Thank you. I appreciate that."

He leaned back in his chair, looking content. "Good. I'm glad we're on the same page. Now, let's enjoy the rest of our evening, shall we?"

I nodded, my mind spinning with fear and confusion. As we sat there, the reality of my situation pressed down on me like a suffocating weight. Damian's twisted vision of our future was becoming clearer, and it was a nightmare I couldn't escape.

I had to find a way out. I had to. Because if I didn't, I would be trapped in this delusional hell forever. And that was something I couldn't allow.

Keep listening.

Keep pretending.

Find the weakness.

As Damian continued to talk about our "future," I forced myself to stay calm and listen, all the while plotting my escape. The stakes were higher than ever, and I knew I had to act soon. My life depended on it.
