He didn't let anyone know of his presence or that he was coming to the celebration at all. Mainly because he didn't want to be interrogated at the sudden change of heart.

Not that anyone would even dare to question him in the first place.

So, finding a secluded seat in the far back, he sat down. His eyes trained on the door. It was quite early in the night, but thankfully he didn't have to wait long. Because the moment the doors opened, Rinrika was already attaching herself to a rather tall man who was already drowning in his third drink.

Y/n, all the while, seemed to take everything in. Her eyes scanning the place. At first Capitano thought she was looking for someone.

But .. he knew better. She wasn't one for going out. Sure, she had a night job, but today was Wednesday. She doesn't take night shifts on Wednesdays.

And as he silently watched her take a free seat far to the right. He couldn't help but to chuckle when he noticed how she pulled out a book from her bag. Honestly, he wished it was him that her attention was on instead of that damn book.

"THE HELL YOU JUST SAY TO ME?!"

"YOU KNOW DAMN WELL WHAT I JUST SAID, BITCH!"

His attention was taken away by the sound of glass shattering.

His eyes seemingly scanning over the chaos slowly breaking out. You've got to be kidding me.

Standing up from his seat, the brawl was soon underway. But his initial focus wasn't on stopping the fight or on cracking someone's skull in when a bear bottle broke against his chest (which he didn't even feel).

No, his focus was now solely on y/n who was struggling to get out of the bar. Her friend, Rinrika tried to help her, but the two were easily separated. And when he saw Y/n get pushed to the ground, he hastened his steps. His arms easily pushing people aside as he came upon the huddled up girl. A trickle of blood cascading down her head.

When he grabbed her arm and hoisted her up, he resisted the urge to hold her close. And when he spotted her book lying a bit away from them, he decided to retrieve it and return it to her tomorrow, but for now ...

"Are you alright?"

He was content with forcing himself within her life.
