"Are you ready, kitten?"

"I am scared, Adrian..."

Her voice trembled ever so slightly, a softness that belied the confident woman I knew so well. I turned to her, catching the flicker of anxiety in her eyes. It wasn't often that Shayantika showed this side of herself—vulnerable, uncertain. But here she was, standing beside me, looking as if the weight of the world had suddenly settled on her shoulders.

"Hey," I said gently, cupping her face in my hands. "You've got this. You're going to be amazing, and I'll be right there with you."

She smiled, but it was tinged with hesitation. "What if I mess up? What if I trip or..."

"Then you'll get right back up and keep going," I interrupted, brushing a thumb across her cheek. "And you'll still be the most breathtaking person in the room."

Her smile grew a little stronger, and she leaned into my touch, drawing comfort from it. "Thanks, Rian. I just... I really want this to go well."

"It will," I assured her, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. "And even if it doesn't go exactly as planned, we'll make the best of it together."

With that, we left our hotel and made our way to the Ethereal Elegance fashion show venue. The ride was quiet, each of us lost in our thoughts—mine occupied with how I could ease her nerves, and hers, no doubt, with the enormity of the event.

We arrived at the show house, a sprawling building buzzing with activity as models, designers, and crew members hurried to prepare for the evening. Shayantika and I walked through the bustling corridors, passing racks of stunning dresses and suits, the air filled with the hum of last-minute adjustments.

As we approached the area where Shayantika would change, I gave her hand a reassuring squeeze. "I'll be right out here, okay?"

She nodded, taking a deep breath. "Okay."

I watched as she disappeared into the dressing room, the door closing behind her with a soft click. Left alone, I found a seat nearby, my mind already conjuring images of how she'd look once she emerged. I knew she'd be beautiful—she always was—but something told me tonight would be different. Special.

Minutes passed, though it felt like hours, until finally, the door creaked open, and Shayantika stepped out.

My breath caught in my throat.

She was dressed in an ethereal gown that seemed to flow like liquid silver, catching the light with every movement. The fabric hugged her figure in all the right places, accentuating her curves while maintaining an elegance that was nothing short of mesmerizing. Her hair was styled in loose waves, cascading over her shoulders like a waterfall of silk. And her eyes... her eyes sparkled with a confidence that hadn't been there earlier, now shining with the realization of how incredible she looked.
