Shayantikas POV:

When I entered the office, my father was already seated in one of the chairs in the conference hall. His presence was a comforting sight amidst the chaos of the day.

"Papa!" I called out as I walked toward him.

"Beta, have a seat," he said, gesturing to the head chair at the conference table. I nodded, sinking into the plush chair, trying to steady my nerves.

"I called Mr. Singhania. He mentioned he had an accident but should be here any moment," my father explained, his tone calm and reassuring.

My heart skipped a beat. I hope he's okay, I thought, attempting to push aside the worry gnawing at me. "He's fine, don't worry," Papa added, sensing my anxiety.

Before long, Mr. Singhania entered the room. My breath caught in my throat as I recognized him—the same man I had collided with earlier. His presence was imposing, his sharp features framed by the tailored suit he wore. A smirk played on his lips as he scanned the room.

Papa greeted him warmly, "Hello, Mr. Singhania. This is my daughter, who will be taking over for me."

Mr. Singhania's smirk widened, his gaze lingering on me with a mixture of amusement and suspicion. "Acchhaa!" he said, his tone laced with condescension. I felt my cheeks flush with embarrassment and quickly looked down.

Papa rose from his seat. "So, Shayantika, behave and make me proud. I'm heading home now," he said, his voice filled with an encouraging note.

In my mind, I was panicking. No, Papa, don't leave me here! I'm going to suffocate under this pressure. I tried to keep my composure. "Ahha! Baba, why so hurried? Let's finish the meeting first," I said, my voice trembling despite my attempt to sound casual.

Papa gave me a reassuring smile but nodded towards Mr. Singhania. "No, Mr. Armani, you may leave. I will have a discussion with your daughter about the business."

My heart sank as I realized he was leaving. "Accha, beta, I'm going now," Papa said, giving me a final nod. "Goodbye, Dad," I managed, my voice barely above a whisper.

As Papa exited, Mr. Singhania's attention turned fully to me. "So, Ms. Shayantika Armani," he began, his tone dripping with disdain. "We meet again."

I swallowed hard, forcing myself to focus on the present despite the storm of emotions swirling inside me. Mr. Singhania relaxed into his chair, opening his blazer and getting comfortable. His posture was commanding, and as he settled, the way his muscles strained against his white shirt was impossible to ignore. Get a grip, Shayantika, I scolded myself mentally, trying to shake off the distracting thoughts.

His assistant arrived with a stack of papers, which Mr. Singhania began to sign with deliberate strokes. I watched in silence, my mind racing with worry about the implications of this meeting.

When he finished, he handed me the papers. My eyes widened in horror as I read the contents—every deal between SA Star Enterprise and Singhania Ltd. had been declined. A wave of panic washed over me. No way! He can't just cancel everything because of a slap and a car crash! How can he judge me based on this? I thought, feeling a rush of dread.

Without a word, Mr. Singhania stood up, his assistant following suit. They started to leave, and I felt a surge of desperation. I sprinted after them, my heart pounding.

"Mr. Singhania, please!" I called out, catching up to them. "I'm really sorry about what happened earlier. I got carried away and didn't mean to cause such trouble. Please reconsider the deals. My father will be very upset if he finds out."

Mr. Singhania's expression hardened. He offered me a brief, pitying glance before his assistant gently but firmly pushed me aside. "It's too late for apologies, Ms. Armani. The damage is done," he said coldly, and with that, they both walked away.

I stood there, watching as they disappeared from view. My chest felt tight, and I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes. I returned to the parking lot and got into my Ferrari, my mind a chaotic swirl of regret and fear.

I drove aimlessly, needing to clear my head. The serene beauty of the beach beckoned me, offering a brief respite from the turmoil. I parked the car and walked to the shore, where the calm waves and distant seagulls provided a stark contrast to the storm brewing within me.

Sitting by the shore, I stared out at the horizon, tears slipping down my cheeks. What have I done? I thought, feeling overwhelmed by the magnitude of my mistake. The partnership with Singhania Ltd. was crucial to our company's success. They had supported us for years, and now I had jeopardized that.

The realization hit me like a wave. Papa will be devastated. He trusted me with this responsibility, and I've already made such a mess. I should have stayed in the USA and avoided all this trouble. The thoughts spiraled, each one more disheartening than the last.

I glanced at my watch, knowing that the longer I stayed here, the more trouble I was in. I need to face the consequences, I told myself, wiping away my tears. The drive back home seemed like an impending sentence, and I braced myself for whatever awaited me.

As I started the car and headed back, I couldn't shake the feeling that this was just the beginning of a much larger storm. The impact of my actions was far from over, and I had no idea how I was going to make things right.
