The SUV ride was suffocatingly silent, each second amplifying the thoughts swirling in my mind. We're in Melbourne for the night, heading to Sydney the day after tomorrow for the big event. Afterward, there's another celebration for announcing the winner, followed by a tour of Australia before heading back to India. But all I can think about is that guy, Arun.
Who the fuck is Arun? A friend, huh? That word doesn't sit right with me. I can't shake the image of him hugging Shayantika, his hands all over her body like he had some right. That hug was too much, too close. I could see the way he looked at her, the lust in his eyes. It made my blood boil. He doesn't deserve to even look at her, let alone touch her. They exchanged a handshake, and all I could think about was cutting off his hand for daring to touch her.
Those eyes, the ones that ogled her, need to be ripped out. I can't stand the thought of anyone else being close to her, especially not some guy like Arun. He's a threat, a piece of shit who doesn't deserve to be near her. If he talks to her or even looks her way again, he's going to regret it. My jealousy isn't just a feeling; it's a storm brewing inside me, ready to unleash hell on anyone who crosses that line. Shayantika is mine, and I'll make sure everyone knows it, especially Arun.
I'm still confused about my feelings for Shayantika. My mind keeps telling me that Riya is still out there somewhere, alive. Where haven't I found her? I've loved Riya since childhood she's always been the one. But now, here comes destiny, throwing another girl into my life. Why am I so drawn to Shayantika? It doesn't make sense. What is it about her that pulls me in?
I can't deny the attraction, but I also can't forget Riya. It's like I'm torn between my past and whatever this new future holds. I wish I could just ask Shayantika outright. My head was throbbing with pain, as if my thoughts were on fire. "Driver, find the nearest five-star hotel for us to stay at tonight," I instructed, my patience wearing thin. Shayantika looked at me, her eyes wide with surprise, and said, "Didn't you mention that you had booked hotels in advance?"
Her question felt like a jolt to my already frayed nerves. I snapped, "be quiet, Shayantika." It was harsh, but I couldn't help it. She kept quite and looked out the window the entire ride. Her voice, so melodious and captivating, was a turn-on that made it hard to think straight. It had a power over me, capable of bringing any man to his knees, and right now, I couldn't bear the confusion it stirred in me. "Yes sure sir" The driver nodded and turn the SUV to the right path and its dark outside the light lamps outside in the roads are dazzling and the markets are beautiful.
But now I need rest.
Within an hour, the car stopped and parked outside a grand hotel with a sign reading "The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne." It was a posh establishment, boasting a stunning exterior that promised luxury and comfort. The sleek architecture, with tall glass windows reflecting the city's lights, exuded sophistication.
