It has been two weeks since Trekker had been punished to the homicide department and he was sure as hell he didn't belong here.. Everybody was nice but he didn't want to solve murder cases...He had been partnered with a police officer who taught him with patience..He had even gone out on field work it was exciting but he wished it was his department one that he preferred.
He had kept in touch with his friends from his old department and was good friends with Alpha...he befriended the other rookies and officers in his new department. He had never gone back to the second floor,he didn't want to end up more sad than he was and was glad he never saw Christopher Wyatt again.
He had a feeling he was never returning to his old unit.Trey was angry about the outcome and thought it was ridiculous but they couldn't do much.
Trekker had also been getting calls from different unknown numbers that he kept blocking but new ones kept calling...he had learnt to ignore them...He was on lunch break when he got called to the meeting room.He got inside and saw other officers looking at the notice board..It was a difficult case he concluded and sat down next to others.
Brandon came in minutes later.
Good everyone is here ..We have a case, a very difficult one. As you can see here... it's a serial killer. The victims, all young women in their late twenties, seem to have no apparent connection—except for the bizarre calling card left by the killer: a lifelike mask resembling each victim's face. The media dubs him "The Chameleon Killer" due to his ability to blend into different environments and evade capture. So far he has killed three women.
Victim number one is a successful lawyer found in her upscale apartment, her face perfectly intact, but a mask of her own face placed eerily beside her body.
Victim number two is a popular social media influencer, discovered in her luxury condo, with a mask of her face propped up in front of her mirror.
Victim number three is a nurse working the night shift at a busy hospital, found in the staff break room, her mask left on a hospital bed.
The chameleon killer slits his victims throats in one movement Brandon said.
Trekker and Trey both approached the board and looked at the pictures closely.
He chooses his victims carefully, picking women who are socially influential but live solitary lives. The killer uses his exceptional makeup and prosthetic skills to create lifelike masks of his victims, which he leaves at the crime scene Detective Donna said.
Let's not put gender on the killer just yet for now we will assume it's a he so he stalks his victims for weeks, learning their routines and habits. The blade the killer used sliced cleanly across the victims throats in a single, sweeping motion, severing the carotid artery and jugular vein in one deadly strike leaving no time to struggle, no time for a scream..This killer knows what he is doing Trey said.
He does.. Trekker said.
What Detective Donna said.
Like dipshit here said... look at the pictures closely..he is a professional and let me tell you something about professionals...they gotta start somewhere Trekker said.
Stop beating around the bush Detective Freddie said.
You mean he has practice Trey asked Trekker ignoring Freddie.
Bingo...see bestie this killer couldn't have perfected his moves in one victim Trekker said.
He has killed before...He had other victims who he used to perfect his skills, Trey said.
Bingo you get it ..so Captain Brandon.. I'll say gather unsolved cases where the victims had their throats slashed...then any evidence found on those cases combine them and the suspects I'm sure you'll figure something from there Trekker said sitting down.
You heard the man .call other precincts...any case that seems related to ours bring the files here Brandon said.
Yes sir the officers said and all left leaving Brandon with Trey and Trekker.
You two make a great team .. Brandon said.
We know..too bad this isn't my friend's passion Trey said.
I think he belongs here... I've been watching you.. helping around in unsolved cases... you two have potential and you could be partners in the future Brandon said.
That would be nice I admit but I prefer murder he prefers drugs that's the way it is Trey said.
Don't say it weird bruv..geez man... I'll be asleep call me when you get something Trekker said.
You gotta stop sleeping in the station man... Trey said.
I'm a lazy person my gee... goodbye Cap Trekker said.
You are not scared of me but my friend scares you Brandon said.
Please don't ruin my day by mentioning that asshole... Trekker how is that Transfer process coming along Trey asked.
Professor wants to talk ..so I have an appointment with him at three Trekker said and left to find a place to sleep.
What transfer Brandon asked.
Like I said Trek doesn't belong here he belongs to the narcotics unit so I asked him to transfer to another precinct once it gets approved I'm leaving too Trey said and left
