Mr. Olseno, given that you had the financial means, why did you not formally adopt Trekker into your household if you genuinely consider him part of the family? another reporter asked.Trekker looked at him as if he was dumb he was sure a question like this had been asked .
We believed that it was in Trekker’s best interest to be raised by his biological mother, who had formed a deep bond with him. It wasn’t a matter of finances but of love and doing what we felt was right for Trekker, George said.
Mariah, do you feel that the decision to allow Trekker to be raised separately has caused any emotional detachment between him and the rest of the family? Another reporter asked.
Trekker has always been a part of this family, regardless of where he was raised. He came to us when he was seven and he is such a sweetheart, he has a strong bond with his brothers especially Gavin and Tyke.Tyke can get really over protective towards him Mariah said. Trekker noticed it was a way to keep the media away from him since Tyke had a reputation that Trekker was starting to wonder how deep it ran that the media were so scared of Tyke.
Another reporter asked how you met the Johnson's and you didn't answer A reporter said.
They are my second family, love them a lot shout out to my uncle Lucas and best friend Trey. I met Trey when we were eight years old, we became instant friends he kept me out of his social media life cos I asked him to.I went to live with the Johnson's for a year because I can and we've been tight since Trekker said.
You say the Olseno's took you when you were seven years old but we heard you lived in the orphanage when you were seven and your uncle Dré Gyles was in jail Another reporter said.
You guys are really nosy huh, yeah I lived in the orphanage, mom just died, uncle Dré was in jail I had selective mutism and didn't talk to anyone so I couldn't tell them about my other family. Mom's lawyer friend was the one who told them mom was dead a week later and they came to get me Trekker said.
Who's is this lawyer a reporter asked.
Cathy Lionel, she died last year because of a car accident Mariah said.
Trekker hid his shock.Your uncle Dré....
Must be left out of this. He should also be left alone Tyke said interrupting the journalist who nodded looking scared.
Trekker, how would you describe your relationship with your siblings, given the peripheral role you've played in the family compared to them? A reporter asked.
Trekker (smiled, then paused)Um, I don’t know what that word means—peripheral? Man y'all are throwing some big words here, should have paid attention in English class (they laughed at that))... My brothers and I are close we may not have started together but they’ve always treated me like one of them. I'm grateful for them Trekker said.
What is your relationship with Brad and Tiffany Johnson Another reporter asked.
My brother and sister, like I said the Johnson's are family. I'm grateful for them and I love them Trekker said.
Mr. Olseno, some suggest that your decision to keep Trekker out of the public eye was a deliberate attempt to avoid potential ignominy. How do you respond to this claim? Another reporter asked.
The hell is ignominy, I'm goggling that first thing when I get home Trekker said and every one laughed.
We’ve always acted in Trekker’s best interest, not out of a desire to avoid any so-called ignominy. Our decision was based on love and compassion, not fear of public opinion George said.
Trekker, how do you cope with the conundrum of balancing your identity between your biological mother, the Johnson's and the Olseno family? Another reporter asked.
