A collective sigh of relief swept through the room. Dré’s shoulders slumped as he let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding. Trey and Christopher exchanged a hopeful glance, their anxiety momentarily lifting.
A nurse came by and George talked to him.Brandon then arrived just then and hugged Christopher who buried his face in his chest.
But will the blood be enough? Trey asked, his voice tense.
It should be, the nurse replied, nodding. The blood is already on its way, and the surgical team is prepared to administer it as soon as it arrives. They’re doing everything possible to stabilize Trekker in the meantime the nurse said.
Thank you. We appreciate everything you’re doing Christopher said his eye's filled with tears of relief.
The nurse gave a reassuring smile. We’re just doing our job. I’ll make sure you’re updated as soon as we have more news she said.
As she left the room, the team gathered around, the atmosphere now charged with a new sense of hope. They knew there was still a long road ahead, but the arrival of the rare blood type felt like a small miracle.
Trey turned to George .
Thank you.... I.....just...thank you so much Trey said as he broke down in tears that he had been withholding. Dré moved to him and hugged him as they both cried in relief.
Just then Lucas, Brad, Tiffany and Teresa arrived.They all hugged Trey and Dré.Lucas looked at the Olseno family and ignored them.
